  Un estupendo hotel a orillas del Rhin

  Nos alojamos tres noches en este pequeño, pero muy cómodo hotel. Está muy bien ubicado en este adorable pueblo que es Boppard. Estuvimos en el segundo piso en una habitación relativamente pequeña, pero con una linda vista al Rhin y a todo el tráfico que por allí pasa. La atención fue muy servicial por parte de los dueños, dándonos consejos y datos para nuestras salidas. El descanso muy reparador y el desayuno muy rico y completo. A pesar de no tener estacionamiento, siempre pudimos dejar nuestro auto estacionado muy cerca del hotel, por lo que no hubo incovenientes en este sentido. Volvería con mucho gusto a este lugar!

  Small friendly hotel on the Rhine

  This family run hotel has mostly German guests visiting the region. We had a room at the front with a small balcony overlooking the river, so in spite of the chilly weather, we could enjoy the constant boat traffic on the Rhine and watching the goats on the steep hillside on the other side of the river. Our room was quite spacious with comfortable bed, shower over the bath, plenty of hot water and a lovely breakfast in a charming dining room. The owners went out of their way to be helpful. Easy access to river cruises, ferry across the river (2euros), train to neighbouring villages such as Bacharach, Braubach. Just a warning re Boppard itself: many of the restaurants and shops do not accept credit cards, cash only ( which was a bit of a surprise!) and the railway station has about 25+ steps to/from the platforms, no escalator or elevator, so if you have largish luggage, it is a pain.

  Charming Family run hotel

  We stayed here 6 nights on our Rhine Odessey, and enjoyed our stay immensely in this family run hotel.. We had a front balcony room which gave us great views of the Rhine, which unfortunately meant also some 24 hour noise from the impressive amount of boat and train traffic, gladly the double glazing kept disturbance low. Breakfast was good continental fare and as the hotel is B&B we were able to sample many of the local restaurants for lunch and dinner. Disappointed a little by the rather cramped ensuite bathroom, but impressed by the size of the room, and the sitting area. Very good value.

  Wonderful

  This hotel is just lovely. The rooms are comfortable, beds are great for sleeping, and the location is great. We really enjoyed the breakfast, local wine that was available at the desk and we especially appreciated the staff. They were very kind and helpful when we left a bag on the train and had very helpful information about different castles we could go see. I highly recommend this hotel and can say its definitely worth the splurge for the balcony.

  A great little hotel in a beautiful spot

  The Guenther is a classic small, independent European hotel. The staff is all welcoming and helpful, the room overlooking the Rhein, with a balcony, is just what a visitor to Boppard wants, the breakfast buffet is good, and the rate is a good value. Would I return? Definitely!
