  Skiing holiday

  Just spent the last week at this delightful hotel. Family run with care and pride and been in the family for a few generations. As a bed and breakfast it does exactly what it says on the tin. Clean spacious rooms, excellent breakfast with plenty of choice - scrambled and boiled eggs, homemade muesli, cheeses and meats, rolls, lovely coffee. They provide a limited bar service in the small reception area but as with everything else they do it is spot on, and delivered with care and attention. The hotel is centrally located, near to the lift, has heated boot holders in the ski storage area (bit cramped). In terms of value for money, cleanliness, care, and good sized ski accommodation this is probably the best combination, for value, that I have experienced in a couple of decades of skiing. Well done Goldenes Kruez.

  Great find

  We stayed here for a week in January for a ski holiday with 3 friends. Firsty the location is a short walk from the main area of town and the main ski lift. Non of us minded this as we left our skis in the rental shop situated there. Although we did occasionally use the hotels facility when we came off the mountain too late due to a little too much apres ski on the mountain!!! The breakfast was as expected bread, cheese and meats etc with a choice of fresh bread. The hotel also made their own smoothies which were delicious. The rooms were cleaned to a high standard daily and all staff very pleasant and friendly. I, unfortunately, broke a rib on the third day so spent a lot of time lingering around the hotel and the staff were very attentive to me ensuring I was provided with drinks and support. In all we really enjoyed our stay. If you want to be near the town stay further up but if you want a little quieter part of town then stay here. The hotel is a credit to the owners and staff.

  Perfect family-run hotel

  Stayed here with four friends for skiing trip. Well located just 5 mins easy walk along a safe path to the Nasserinbahn gondola. Five mins walk in the opposite direction takes you to a Spar supermarket, bars restaurants and eventually 2 other main gondolas. Fittings and food were of a high standard and the owners were very hospitable. Highly recommended for families, couple or groups. St Anton was not as posh as expected but it also wasnt full of rowdy people. The slopes werent as well-groomed as other resorts and would be difficult for beginners, due to moguls on home runs.

  Lovely hotel with fantastic staff

  What a lovely little hotel run by a family who are extremely friendly and helpful. They are more than happy to answer any questions you may have and they provide great advice. There is a fantastic selection at breakfast and it was delicious every morning. They also have a special offer on a different drink every day in their lounge. It is in a great location in St Anton, close to the lifts, bars and restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely book again if we ever come back to St Anton.

  Always a great hotel and continues to improve

  I've been staying at the GK for quite a few years and I'm always happy to return. It has everything you need for a great hotel in St Anton: location close to lifts, excellent breakfast and clean rooms. In addition, the owners do an excellent job of running the place and are super-friendly. It's nice to see that they continue to make improvements each year. A couple of years ago, the addition of the coffee machine to the breakfast room improved my pre-ski morning significantly! I highly recommend the GK.
