    Average for Ischgl

Not sure where to start and where to end but i will try to be very objective about this. Room Price - For what it can offer i find it overpriced - we payed 190 EUR per night/Bfst included The rooms have floor heating which is very uncomfortable in the night. The air becomes dry and you have the impression you are in a furnace (no means to control the temperature). - we had to sleep with the windows opened - 10'c outside. Internet is free however the way they have the routers setup, you have to login with ur random user name and password if you are inactive for more than 3-4min(very annoying cause you literally have to walk around with a piece of paper in your pocket) Food - Breakfast is ok. Good variety however it never changes. Same thing every day(becomes boring at one time) . Owners/Staff - I would say good and pleasant people however lacking customer service background and hospitality. For a 4* hotel, you could consider your customer as your guest and provide them with sleepers (since there is a sauna). Well they actually charge you 2 eur for a pair of basic white slippers(not looking at the price of the slippers here, but the appreciation you give your guests as a host). They built/made a whole room as an apres ski chill-out place for guests. Very nicely decorated and placed however nobody was using it for 6 days (even though they had drinks and cafe machines there) - Just an advice, try putting a pool table there, you will see that the room will be populated by guests and you will be able to get your revenue from the drinks and snacks you have there. Overall experience - OK Would we go there again - No. owners Will have to understand that they have to provide more for they guests and little things add-up Would I recommend it - NO

    Great place to stay

The staff is great. The hotel is a 12 minute walk to the ski lift and they also have a private shuttle bus that takes you right to the lift for 1 euro each person each way. We saved so much being just out of town but we didn't miss anything because we could go to town for 1 euro each way. It was like having a inexpensive taxi any time from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. There is 2 free public busses also to take you to the lift but for a euro why bother. You have to walk down a hill with ski boots on to take the bus. You need a cell phone to call for the shuttle when you are done skiing to call for a pickup. The grocery store is right at the bottom of the ski lift so you can get groceries and then call for the bus if you need supplies. They sell alcohol in the grocery store also. There is ski shop there also. If you stay in an apartment at Alpenstern breakfast is not included and would cost 13 euro per person per day. We didn't care since the apartments have a full kitchen and the grocery store as mentioned above. The sauna and steam room are nice. They have an area to cool down also with hot tea etc. The room gets cleaned every day and they make those cool shapes on the bed with the blankets and pillows like in the tropical resorts. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen with soap etc. and all the cooking utensils you need. In town you can go wrong. All the restaurants we ate at were great. Friendly people and good food. There is a bar at the hotel also. I like the floor heat. You can open a widow or door on the balcony to have a cool breeze and the room stays warm without wasting electricity. Free wifi.

    Warm and friendly

I had a great stay at the Alpenstern last week. The owners are really friendly and the hotel is warm and comfortable. The daily breakfast was really good and filling, great if you are heading up the slopes that day. The hotel also offer a shuttle into town for only a euro which was really helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

    Compliments to family Walser!

This is a truly hidden gem just outside of Ischgl. The apartment is super luxurious, the hotel has all facilities needed (very nice wellness and the shuttle service is a real VIP service), it is very clean, staff super friendly, nice bar with afternoon snack and a lounge area, this is exactly how it should be! We will definitely go back when skiing in Ischgl.

    Overpriced

Nice clean hotel, friendly staff, but greedy owners. Too far from real Ischgl. No places to eat dinner there or nearby. When u ski, u understand what it means. No climate control in room (too hot). Poor breakfast coffee, worst in last 5 years. No fridge and no minibar in 4* room. Overpriced. For apr. 300 Euro per night I was expecting at least bottle of drinking water daily for free, but not for 6 Euro. Last year for same money I was living 100 m from lift, with all benefits, inkluding HB.
