3.5 stars Decent stay; some areas need improvingDecent stay, but there are areas in need of improvement. Front desk staff was nice, but took a call to book a party while checking us in. During the afternoon and evening I only saw one person on site. On a busy Friday night when the nearby college is hosting an event, there should be two people on staff. The corner suite we got was bigger than I imagined. There is a wet bar with refrigerator (w/mini freezer) and microwave. There is also a small bar with two barstools. A coffee maker is available with offerings of starbucks coffee and tazo tea Next was a decent size seating area with pull out couch and TV. The bedroom was huge with two queen beds and a small desk in the corner. The bathroom was also big. You can enter it from the living room or the bedroom. Now the negatives: The room was lovely and spacious, but the carpets were horrendous. I don't know who made the decision to purchase the carpet, but they need to be fired. You have a lovely modern room with a cheap, thin, ugly carpet that easily stains. There were so many stains on the floor that we were very grossed out and kept our shoes on the whole time. The bathroom has no tub, only a shower. The shower has no door or curtain so you never feel warm. The shower head is a rainshower style, which some people love, but I hate. After traveling, I prefer an angled shower head so I can focus on those sore spots. Also there was very little water pressure. I didn't feel like I could get my hair wet enough or my body rinsed enough. The bed and sheets were comfortable. I didn't use the pillows as I use my own. My husband said they were firm which he prefers. There is also a small balcony. The curtain covering it was nice and heavy which blocked out the light at night. Hot water for tea and cocoa, coffee, and fruit laced water are available in the breakfast area at all hours. We were disappointed that there were no cookies offered when we checked in. Some reviewers mentioned cookies in the lobby, but we saw none. When you first walk into the pool area, you think that it is very lovely, but sitting in the hot tub, you notice the number of tiles missing. The water in the pool was pretty cold so we went into the hot tub which felt like bath water. There is way too much chlorine. We smelled it when we walked into the hotel. In the pool room, it made our eyes water even though we didn't dunk our heads underwater. We didn't stay long because of this. The breakfast area is clean with plenty of seating. There was what I call scrambled omelette (scrambled eggs mixed with ham, cheese, and bits of bell pepper), maple turkey sausage, biscuits, sausage gravy, danishes, and muffins. The fresh fruit was a melon medley and a bowl of red grapes and pineapples. There were bagels and three kinds of bread for toasting. Additionally there was steel cut oatmeal with some toppings. (it was on the cold side though). There were small boxes of cereal, too. In the fridge were cups of yogurt and hard boiled eggs. In addition to the coffee, cocoa, and tea offerings, there was a fruit juice dispenser with orange, grape, cranberry, and apple juice drinks. Overall, our stay was slightly better than average. It is a lovely hotel, but there are some issues needing addressed.

DisappointedLady at check-in barely said 2 words to me. After check-in, we discovered that the pool was empty. We found out this was due to COVID. It would have been nice to beforehand. We chose this hotel for the pool. Waste of money.

Beautiful hotel, awful serviceI came here for a nice getaway with my mother and niece for my birthday. The pool is closed due to COVID, the front desk staff barely said anything upon check in and to get the breakfast. I work in a hotel and I can tell you thats just rude. We asked for more coffee and creamer and it was a big deal. Theres blood on the sheets. In a nice hotel like this youd expect decent service and thats not what was received during our stay.

Nothing openThe only thing good was the bed and shower . Everything cause of COVID shut down no bar no breakfast very very slow WiFi. Nothing at around the area to do . Went to Marietta for the day and that was like a ghost town . Will maybe give this another shot after everything is back up and running and that's a Big maybe .

Good and badWe stayed two nights to visit Muskingum University. The good: - The room was huge. - Beds were comfortable. - Pillows were perfect. - Linens were spotless. The bad: - The room was SO loud. We heard every toilet that flushed, every door that opened and closed, every voice downstairs and on our floor. - The front desk lady who checked us in seemed to not be thrilled that we interrupted her time with her family. She was not friendly. (Every other front desk person we talked to were very friendly.) -there was no water pressure at all in the shower. The picky: - for as far away from the tv as the beds were and as big as that area was, the Tv was small. -no HGTV and relatively few channels compared to most places we visit. - signs everywhere requiring us to wear masks. The employees were not wearing them. And the one person who was had it below her mouth and nose. If this is a mandate, it should probably be followed and enforced. Overall we would stay again but make sure to ask for a room not on floor 2 and down at the end of the hall where it might be quieter.
