ExcellentWeve just returned to the U.K. having stayed at Hotel Gardenia for 11 nights. We were greeted with a smile and a glass of prosseco. Our room (205) was spotlessly clean and the bed was super comfortable. We had a side view of the lake too. Breakfast was plentiful with everything you would expect, pastries, fruits, breads, meats, cheeses, I personally loved the oats and my husband loved the fried eggs. The pool was clean and towels were provided, a nice touch in my opinion. It is only a 10 minute walk on the flat into Bardolino, and is in a great location for visiting nearby Lazise, Garda, Sirmione, Malcesine. We took a train from Presciera del Garda to Venice which only took around 1 hour 30 minutes for 100. We would highly recommend Hotel Gardenia to anyone planning a visit to Lake Garda and we would definitely stay here again in the future.

Fabulous Family run hotel, First Class service, beautifully kept hotel. We stayed here July 2019 but also in 2001 and 2002. We came back this year hoping to see the same family running the hotel and hoping to experience the same first class level of service and attention as we did many years before. Our expectations were exceeded as the hotel is beautifully maintained with love and affection. The owners are perfect hosts. Three brothers who treat each guest as individuals with all the Italian charm and style as you would expect. On arrival we were greeted with coffees and drinks for our 2 children aged 10 and 13. Breakfasts were amazing. Hotel staff friendly and helpful especially when our connecting train to Innsbruck was threatening a strike. Even my two boys were impressed with this hotel and we have travelled on many road trips and seen many hotels. If you are looking for a highly maintained, family run hotel with local charm this is definitely one to check out. Close to the beauty of Bardolino town, only 10 mins lovely walk along the lakeside promenade. We hired bikes from the hotel and enjoyed amazing rides along the lakeside to neighbouring town. Bellissimo!

PerfectWe stayed at this hotel for 7 nights as part if our mini tour of Italy. We arrived by train from Rome on a very hot day so the welcome glass of chilled Prosecco upon arrival was a very nice touch. The staff took time to give information about the local area and provided maps, they also personally escorted us to our room and explained how air con worked. We had booked the suite in Villa Charme, which has two bedrooms and lounge with gorgeous views over Lake Garda. Villa Charme is just across the way from the main hotel and has it's own pool. We spent a lot of time by the pool and it was great to see there was no saving of sunbeds, people seemed to come and go, probably inbetween exploring the area. There is no pool bar at Villa Charme but the waitresses pop over and also there is a fridge with beers and soft drinks which you can take and just write in a book what you've had. There is a phone which you can also use to place food and drink orders. The breakfast is in the main hotel and has all the usuals, pastries, cheeses, ham, cereal, yoghurt, fruit, toast and eggs or omelette..oh and prosecco! Bardolino is a beautiful 15 minute walk along the lake side from the hotel, we saw some fantastic sunsets. Bardolino is full of restaurants and a few bars. Swing bar was our favourite serving great beers and gorgeous cocktails. We walked into Garda one day which took about 40 mins, this is also a lovely little town. There is pedalo with slide hire about 10 mins from the hotel, which was great fun - a first for us all swimming in a lake and only 13 euros for an hour. The hotel is absolutely spotless everywhere, the maids work extremely hard and spend at least half an hour thoroughly cleaning the rooms and changing the beds daily. All the staff are friendly and helpful and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. There is only one thing I need to mention is to please be aware when booking a suite in Villa Charme, there are two types, a refurbished comtemporary suite and then the more traditional older suites. Our booking stated we had booked a "brand new apt with new furniture" however we were given the older suite. I did query this and was told the newer suites were occupied. We decided not to take this any further as the suite we had was older but still lovely and we didnt want this to spoil our stay. I wouldnt hesitate in staying here again and look forward to our next visit.

A happy stayAll the staff at this hotel went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. On arrival we were greeted with smiles and Prosecco and were given lots of ideas and information about the local area, even down to explaining bus and boat ( Lake Garda) timetables. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The pool was lovely and it was only a few minutes walk to the Lake. There was also nearby restaurants close by if you didnt want to go into the main town. We would definitely go back.

A fantastic hotelWhat an amazing hotel. From we arrived until we checked out nothing was too much trouble. The hotel I believe is owned by 3 brothers who were there every day and made you feel that you were part of the family. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, while tea coffee and drinks throughout the day were very reasonable. The rooms were cleaned to an excellent standard every day. We had a room on the third floor with a balcony which had a lake view.....lovely to relax on after a busy day out and about. The hotel is in a perfect location between Bardolino and Cisano about a 10 min walk to either. Bus stops are located just outside the hotel for further trips. The staff were probably the nicest of any hotel we have ever stayed in. If I can just mention Doina, Rita and Marta ( I hope I got the last name right ), who were always chatting and offering us advice about travel and the local area. My husband was unwell when we were away and the staff were marvellous getting us sorted with medical attention . What can I say.....All positive comments and no negative. Will be back
