  Relaxing Jacuzzi in King Size Room, Excellent Staff, Horrible Mattress & Bedding

  My partner and I rented a last minute King Sized bedroom for one night, from a third party website, for a great price. We were up in Buffalo purchasing a car. The room came with a Jacuzzi, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, the mattress was very uncomfortable, and we could hardly sleep. The mattress has been dented in the middle from loads of people sleeping in it, I'm sure, and was painful for both of our backs. They gave us a really thin sheet as a blanket. Not my favorite sleeping experience. The room itself could use some design updates. A cold breakfast was included (no hot meals because COVID), including fruits, cereal, and some bagels with cream cheese. I would have been able to eat some cereal had they offered some oatmilk, almond milk, etc as I am plant based. I don't know how COVID has affected the hotel industry, and I imagine that once upon a time, Garden Place had a great hot breakfast to match the incredible visuals in the dining room, but alas! I truly wouldn't know. The highlight of my stay was the front desk staff on duty, Nick, who kindly offered his own snowscraper from his own car to me, as I didn't yet have one for my recently purchased car. It's people like this that reflect the soul of a hotel, and the reason for my 4 star rating. Had I paid the original price of $200+ for the room, I would have rated this place 3 stars.

  Gorgeous room

  I couldnt have asked for a better welcome and room! Very spacious and even assisted with my needs when I forgot our wine glasses! I love the atmosphere as well! Seriously loved the atmosphere and the cleanliness

  Beautiful

  This hotel is so beautiful. This was my partners and I second stay. We stayed in the emperors suite and all of the mirrors was honestly my favorite part. We love the jacuzzi in the rooms and the style of the hotel. We had a great time and will definitely be back again!

  Outdated and falsely advertised

  I recently stayed at the Garden place. The rooms are severely outdated and the bathroom and jacuzzi fixtures need to be repaired or replaced. It was impossible to regulate the water temperature going into the jacuzzi. The drain in the jacuzzi did not hold water and we were forced to keep filling it with water. The curtains appeared to be from the 1980s and needed to be cleaned. The package that I purchased included a dinner voucher at Salvatore's and a "gourmet hot breakfast" at the garden place. Our dinner at Salvatore's took almost three and a half hours and the food was cold when we finally received it. Our server Geovanni was actually wonderful and the only bright spot in our visit to the restaurant. We felt terrible for him. The breakfast was a poorly supplied continental breakfast that included very few options. I asked for orange juice and was informed it was an apple juice only day. (Sunday morning) I went to the front desk to inquire as to if I could purchase orange juice anywhere on the property and was then offered a cup of orange juice from the employee who originally told me it was an apple juice only day. I found offering one type of juice very strange. The milk and apple juice was offered in tiny plastic cups usually used for ketchup or tarter sauce. This was a very disappointing visit all the way around and expected a much different experience from a place that prides themselves on being an upscale fine dining restaurant and hotel.

  Do not follow COVID restrictions as far as shuttle to restaurant. 10 un-related persons in van not safe. Took own vehicle to restaurant and was not given directions and ended up ar wrong restaurant and waited over an hr. to learn this. Mattress in room only 4 ins. thick and wore out. Jacuzzi non-ecistent ir maybe fir higher-paying customers. Also, appeared to be mouse feces in and under bed. Definitely, not a deal and would not recommend this package deal nor hotel.
