Beautiful paradise in quiet villageThis is my second visit to The Garden Hotel and although it now has a change of front of house (still within the same family), it was still a little slice of paradise. Incredibly friendly service, nothing was to much trouble and George was always happy to answer my never ending questions! The bar is well stocked and the small pool area outside the bar, is a lovely space to while away an evening with a drink or two! The rooms are clean and housekeeping are always busy making sure that everything is up to scratch. Breakfast is from a set menu, but cooked fresh and delicious and runs like a well oiled machine with Babis at the helm! There is also the offer of lunch and dinner, which we tried out during our stay - incredibly reasonably priced, with fresh ingredients - the dinner menu is set each evening. The pool is a spectacular place to top up the tan and read a good book, plus enjoy a beer or an ice cream. Plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Although the hotel is set in a quiet village, there is a mini supermarket on the site, an easy 10 min walk into the centre of the village, where there are some shops, a larger supermarket and some bars and restaurants, plus a local bus stop just outside the hotel which runs a regular service into Rhodes Town - times in reception and really cheap and easy to use. Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel, so peaceful and relaxing.

The Garden Hotel PastidaMy partner and I booked into the Garden Hotel in Pastida, with TUI, for one weeks bed and breakfast We arrived at the hotel mid evening having travelled from West Wales We were greeted by the owner George, who gave us a ground floor room, as requested, the room, though basic, was comfortable, clean, and tidy, the patio, shaded by its own olive tree, looked out across the pool, Having put off unpacking, we went to the bar for a drink, (or two), at 9.30pm, the bar was busy, so my partner and I decided to have our drinks outside, Mikala, the bar waitress, bought our drinks to us, and every few minutes came to check whether us, or any other outside drinkers needed more drinks We got talking to a couple at the next table, who told us what a wonderful hotel The Garden is, They were, one of many couples, who return year after year By the next day we knew why At breakfast we met Babbas, George's father, waiter, gardener, wit, smashing gentleman, always cheerful, always with time to stop for a chat All our meals were taken outside, underneath a canopy of vines, succulent grapes hanging down All the food is well cooked, basic Greek food, plentiful, and, very, very tasty indeed George, his wife, and his father could not do enough for us and the other guests, and in the evening Mikala excelled herself, providing guests with their drinks in the bar, the restaurant and the pool area, always with a smile! By Friday all the staff had learned our names, and we felt like part of the family Also by Friday, we had decided to change our flights, and stay for an extra week, We are already planning our next trip, to this wonderful family run hotel

Lovely oasisHave just returned from a last minute holiday with Tui for a very reasonably priced stay at Garden Hotel. The hotel itself is set in beautiful gardens with a large pool and small kiddies pool. The grounds are extremely well laid out and kept. The hotel rooms are basic but clean. There was a fan in the room but if we were to go again we would pay extra for air con as it was very hot at night. George, Babis and staff were lovely. George arranged our car hire for us (highly recommended to get out and about) which was extremely helpful, in fact nothing seemed a problem for him. The hotel itself, as others have said, is quite remote but with two trips to Rhodes town on the bus and our two days out in the car we found the local restaurants perfectly fine for evening meals during our ten day holiday. Lots of returning guests all very friendly and can offer advice if needed. We would definitely return but never again with Tui!! (Another story!!) Fantastic rates booking direct anyway so really hope to come back sometime in the not to distant future. Lastly George makes a very good Mojito

last minute get away excellent valueWe booked this hotel via TUI 48 hours before we were due to arrive as our Turkey holiday was cancelled. We used Trip advisor to check the reviews and knew that Pastida was a quiet resort. Overall was pleased with our choice especially as it was less than £550 for a week. Hotel is very clean and the exterior pool and seating area very scenic with one of the largest pools I have ever seen outside of a large all inclusive resort. It was quite chilly but needed as the temperature here in October was still very warm. Breakfast is reasonable with 7 choices all basic but prepared well. We had lunch here at least 4 days and again limited choice but all done well. No problems with sunbeds due to low number of people here. Evening wise we had a drink before we went out of an evening with George doing a good G&T. There was no real evening entertainment and was very quiet so went into town most evenings to the few restaurants (about 6 in all with additional snack bars) Rooms are basic with bathroom prone to flooding as you have to stand in a corner. The TV channel has two english news channels. The problem with the room was with one plug socket by the door which is hard when one has phones to charge. The bed is rock hard and takes some getting used to. Wi fi is good in the bar and can be reached in parts of the pool which was good too. We didn't find the staff that attentive perhaps because we were not one of the many returners of which there were many and we did not eat there of an evening. When we left there was no goodbye or acknowledgement of our departure. The guys that run it could update a few things and this could be a gold mine but I guess many people love it just the way it is. Also the resort is quiet but we found some excellent restaurants and never had a bad meal.
