  BEAUTIFUL LAKE GARDA

  Beautiful hotel. The staff were spot on. The rooms were beautiful and fortunately my room 305 had wonderful views. The downside of this hotel is the majority of visitors were German, grumpy ones at that. I had my 3 year old grandson with me and found the hotel did not cater for children. The balcony was very small with 2 chairs and table for adults to sit, not good when your little one climbs on one. The lift also does not have sensors. This could be really dangerous for anyone not just a little one. A plus to the hotel is that it gives you a safe for no extra cost. I have to point out for anyone going in May to take something warm as well as something waterproof. All in all I enjoyed my stay at beautiful Lake Garda. My son's wedding at the castle at Malcesine was perfect.

  School tour

  Thank you all. The rooms are so clean. The hotel is perfectly set up for the person driving through or a group. The staff were fab. We loved the food. We are off to Germany next school tour but would return if not. The negative reviews in my opinion reflect more on the people that put them up than the hotel. This is not a fancy hotel. Dont stay here if you are looking for a 5 star fine dining restaurant but if you are a group tour or the likes I highly recommend. Thanks for all.

  Great Hotel for School Groups

  We visited Lake Garda for our school tour this year and spent 3 nights on half board basis at this hotel. The hotel is well situated for access to Venice (1.5 hrs) Verona (1/2 hour), Gardaland (15 mins) and the various Lakeside towns. We were a group of 88 and were well looked after. It is a 3 star european standard so don't expect the Ritz. It is however very clean and staff were fantastic. Rooms cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. Any minor issues we had were immediately sorted. Food was good and plentiful and chef asked for suggestions from me as tour leader when planning evening meals. There is also a McDonalds across the road which was a big hit for McFlurries! Absolutely no issues with items being stolen from rooms. We used the safe behind reception. We would definitely stay at Hotel Garda again as a school group.

  Ok...

  I actually stayed here in MARCH 2018 not June 2018. I stayed here for 3 days whilst on a school trip. To Start: The rooms were kept very tidy by the staff during my stay . The beds were quite comfortable and the bathroom was spotless! The only downside to the room was that it was quite old fashioned and that the television set did not work! The WiFi speed was great though. Food is great at dinner but be aware that hot food was not served at breakfast. Majority cold cuts and bread,cheese etc. There were juice and coffee machines though and it was quite tasty! The staff were very friendly but their English needs a bit of an improvement. The only suggestion about the hotel itself is to renovate it!

  Standard

  Rooms were a bit rough around the edges. Our wall had loads of marks on it and the sockets were coming out of the wall a bit. There was not a safe in every rooms and those of us who did have a safe the thing wouldnt work. All the staff were lovely and helpful though. Dinner was okay but all the veg was cold and the way it was served to us was strange. Breakfast was a standard continental breakfast cant complain!
