  fabulous retreat

  Super atmosphere, delicious food, excellent service. Very relaxing and had lots of fun with my family from January 2-4, 2020. Very co-operative staff. However, all activities are in the next door Ffort raichak hotel whereas some should be in Ganga Kutir. Wifi is weak. Would love to visit again.

  Location of the groundfloor room (Mahawasala), overviewing the ever flowing Ganges is simply terrific

  The resort is maintained reasonably well and clean - I found the staff to be very friendly and happy to walk the extra mile to make our stay pleasant. The view of the Ganges from the room as well as from the sit-out near the swimming pool was a real treat and it makes you forget the hustles of busy city life. The night was quiet with thousands of stars on a clear December sky with dotted lights across the Ganges and occasional fishing boats passing at a distance. The restaurant attached to Ganga Kutir is decent for Bengali and other Indian food, although if one is looking for Continental or Chinese variety, it may fall short of expectation. The resort is located within a huge well maintained walled campus with a few other resorts and eating options from the same group, if one feels like venturing out of this resort.

  beautiful stay

  stayed here for a weekend in sep 2020. great to see cleanliness and safety protocols being followed. our room was clean and with an excellent view of the ganges. the food too was really good. the best part of this hotel is their staff and their personal care. will definitely recommend this place to everyone for a weekend getaway for sure

  An unforgettable experience

  We went there to spend Xmas vacation with kids. Stayed from 23 to 27th December. Check in was smooth. We stayed in Mahawasala first floor room which had an excellent view of river Ganges. Room was well equipped with all modern amenities.Thoroughly enjoyed the view of river while relaxing in the balcony. Kids enjoyed playing with the ducks around the pond. Lots of activities were there to spend leisure times.Enjoyed winter special thali at Sonar Tari. Room service was good. They baked cakes for the kids on Xmas day which was a nice gesture.Overall a good experience and hope to visit again in future.

  Overpriced average property

  The only thing good about this place is the location..the rooms serves wonderful view of the river. The cottages were built with good architectural elements..the rooms are spacious and offers an excellent view of the beautiful surroundings. But all these good features gets dull when we see the overtly poor maintenance..the place was dirty, there were damps on the rooms with mosquitoes around. We stayed at mahawasla..which is considered one of the best cottages to stay..but was very dissapointed with the unkept condition. I guess they use the local people for the cleaning instead of hiring professional services..which they shud considering the rates they charge Of the stay. Even the room service did not even cared to pick up our dirty plates for whole night and till afternoon. Overall the food at the restaurant was good..and must try for everyone.
