  On of the nicest Hotel in japan

  For a hotel you can say this is almost paradise ! The landscaping is some never seen. So beautiful with the mix of water and gardens it is so very beautiful. PLus the Emperor once slept there so as you can imagine the room prices are for high busget travelers. But just to visit it is worth the stop. There was a lady playing the harp when I was there and my God could she play that instrument. A well worth the trip let me tell you !

  Love this hotel. The room was spacious with a great view overlooking the city. The western style breakfast was magnificent, and the servers were very attentive. This was a very comfortable hotel, very close to Takeshima and the Aquarium.

  From another era

  As the title reads - this place is in a time warp, and in some ways charming for it, but also rather antiquated and old fashioned in facilities, but the service is gentle and attentive. The best that Gamagori has to offer

  Elegant curry rice can be eaten. It is very delicious and satisfied.

  A classic hotel with a 100-year history is an hour's train ride from Nagoya Station. I will go by taxi from Gamagori City, Aichi Prefecture. Especially recommended is beef curry. I make high quality beef steaky and put it on the rice with seasonal vegetables. In addition, this steak sauce seems to change everyday, but this day was a red wine based sauce. I am eating a variety of hotel curries, but this delicious curry rice is this hotel.

  Absolute luxury

  This hotel is fantastically classic. It offers an elegant charm from a bygone era, situated on top of a hill giving views across the city, across Mikawa Bay and to Takashima Island. Straight off the bat, the ambiance when you enter the lobby is quite inspiring, calming and relaxing. The welcoming friendliness from the staff is overwhelmingly pleasant. They were great for the entirety of my four day stay. I had a city facing twin bed room. The bathroom was nicely presented, with a bath/shower facility. As I'm 6ft2 (186cm) the wash basin only came up to my mid-thigh, so a lot lower than I am used to. But that was not a problem. Breakfast was very good on the two occasions I had time to get it. I had the European style the first day, then had the traditional Japanese on my last day. The Japanese breakfast was a real treat and well worth straying from the traditional European bacon & eggs offering. All in all, a fantastic stay while I was in Gamagori and would recommend it without question.
