  Very peaceful lovely location but;

  We have just returned from a 10 day holiday in Lake Garda. We stayed at Hotel Galvani and although I agree with the other reviews I feel that they are written by guests staying in rooms at the front of the hotel or in a suite. Our room was small but adequate. It was clean and the sheets changed couple of times during our stay. There was a kettle but no cups. We had a small balcony but it over looked out of thd back of the hotel to another block of rooms which meant that no air circulated & it was very uncomfortable to sit out later in the day. Breakfast was decidedly average. Cold meats, sliced cheddar cheese, crusty bread. The staff were lovely especially the waitress in the dining room. The desk clerk had limited English and it was difficult trying to get holiday advice. On the up side the hotel is in a lovely location over looking the lake. It is a good 20 minute walk into Torri along a rough path beside the lake. Torri del Benaco is a lovely town with good restaurants with a few shops. There is a market on every Monday with some fresh products and crafts. There are other towns near by also well worth a visit such as Garda and Bardolino, both accessible by bus & have good shopping, markets & restaurants. On the whole it was a good holiday but if you plan to stay in Hotel Galvani ask for a room overlooking the lake.

  Super place on the lake

  Great hotel on the outskirts of lovely Torri del Benaco. Good location to tour round lake and to get out to Verona, Vicenza and Padua Don't think I need to pay more than that but for some reason TA think I need to. Sometimes less is more.

  Perfect place....

  Our stay here was perfect. The room was clean and towels and linen were changed frequently. The owner and all the staff were wonderful. They were friendly and so very helpful. When we made a mistake with our flights etc they went above and beyond to call and book a hotel for a night and our taxi and also to find bus routes etc. Food was great too, couldn't recommend more highly....thank you from myself and my Mum

  Beautiful 4-star hotel that is within walking distance to center of Torri

  Our suite was located on the second level with unobstructed views of beautiful Lake Garda. No feature was overlooked. Two swimming pools (indoors and outdoors), saunas, stream rooms and a first class restaurant on property. Staff was super friendly and made sure all of our needs were met. A lovely walk on walking paths alongside Lake Garda into the quaint village of Torri added to this wonderful stay of 7 nights. Will definitely plan a return trip here soon!

  A beautiful and peaceful stay

  We stayed 6 nights at this beautiful hotel in one of the first floor rooms with balcony and lake view. The room was superb - selection of pillows, room serviced and linen changed daily. On the balcony we had two chairs and table plus two sunloungers and a stunning view. Staff including owners were extremely friendly and could not do enough to help us. The breakfasts were a continental buffet with a great selection of hot and cold. Our only negative was regarding evening meals - lovely meals but a limited menu that does not change - suggest there should be a meal of the day or similar. However Torri is just over a 1km walk along the front to a wide selection of restaurants. Although there is no fitness room as mentioned below there are two pools (indoor and outdoor) and a sauna.
