  Perfect but...

  I've been here for weekend in February. Hotel was chosen for location near galata tower, walking distance to karakoy, galata bridge. My purpose was walk around and have nice food and Ive got it. Great terrace with galata view! Minus is lavatory leakage, no window view)) quite expensive 130euro 2 nights

  We loved these apartments!

  There is so much to like about these apartments. Firstly the location is the best in Istanbul! Its 50m from Galata Tower, 100m to freshly squeezed juices and a French-style patisserie that became my Achilles heel, 150m to Sishane Metro and 500m to Istiklal Street. There are plenty of great cafes in the area but its whisper quiet when trying to sleep. Its a lively district but without the doof doof nightclubs. It also has a lift, air conditioning and great insulation around the windows. We had requested an early check-in but upon arrival we were advised that the room wouldn't be free until 4pm. Staff kindly offered a vacant room for us to shower and freshen up before heading out for the day. When we returned at 4, the room was ready as advised. They also rang our car hire company to confirm the address for pick up. The staff were so friendly and chatty. The room itself was great with a few annoyances. We booked the penthouse and the view was spectacular. We had floor-to-ceiling windows on 3 sides of the lounge room and watching the Galata tower light up at night never got boring. Theres also an enviable roof top to recline on but the weather was too chilly for us to use it. We loved how spacious the penthouse was and the bathroom had an excellent rain shower in both temperature and pressure, and a washer/dryer,which was an unexpected bonus. It had a good kitchen with 2 pots, 2 chopping boards, a decent fridge, hot plates, wall oven, toaster and kettle. No microwave but that didnt bother us. What did annoy us was a couple of things that are easily fixed, and a couple of design choices that cant be changed. When you first arrive at the front door, theres no instructions how to contact reception and they didnt provide any instructions prior to check in. This could be easily fixed with a sign that says Reception, press 1. They offer dishwashing liquid in the kitchen but no tea towel, plug or straining rack for hand washing the dishes. They only provided one key and there was no dining table to prepare food on, sit at when eating or typing on a laptop. I think they could replace one of the 2 lounges with a dining table instead. What cant be fixed, and we wish it could have, was the open plan ensuite. Its literally part of the bedroom with only frosted glass and 30cm separating the bed from the shower and toilet. It meant that when I went to bed early, I would be woken up by my husband as he came to use the toilet and wash basin before bed. When I got up in the morning to shower, he couldnt sleep in. The lack of the ensuite having its own room means that everyone is either awake or sleeping. However, it would not stop me from recommending this place nor returning. We loved it.

  Hotel without water!

  We don't have water in room! Room smell of cigarets. Very bad service. I book hotel by AirBnB and only after I call to AIRBNB support i got my money back. I will never back to this bad place! Only one good things - location! Right away from Galata Tower. Rooftoop tenace is nice.

  The place is dirty

  Dirty place full of hair on the floor, in the shower and on sheets in our bed. The sheets were too tiny so we had to sleep partially on the mattress. The shower was not functioning properly. The doorman is kind of weird and he doesnt have the right attitudes, no English speaker + only cash, no credit cards accepted. I advise to find another place to stay in.
