  Exceptional Hotel

  We recently returned from a fabulous holiday in St Wolfgang staying in this exceptional hotel with lovely owners and reception staff. We communicated with the hotel prior to our holiday and the staff were always helpful, supporting us with our enquiries. Their warmth and kindness continued throughout our stay. They even helped us find a taxi service for transfers to and from the airport. The hotel was perfect for our needs, a family with two boys, aged 15 and 11. We had an amazing family suite which was just like having our own apartment and all enjoyed the wide choice of food available at breakfast each morning. The rooms were spotless and cleaned every day. Unfortunately the weather was a little mixed during our stay but we were able to spend a few leisurely afternoons in the hotels lakeside garden which has its own bar. It is in such a stunning location a few minutes walk away and perfect for watching all the lake activities. My husband and children had lots of fun swimming in the lake as well as learning to use the hotelss paddle boards. We were all sorry to have to leave this very friendly hotel when our holiday came to an end. If you are considering a holiday in St Wolfgang, then the Hotel Furian would be a perfect choice! Location, service and cleanliness were all exceptional and we would not hesitate to stay here again if visiting this part of Austria.

  Lovely hotel

  The family owned hotel is at St Wolfgang, which is about an hours drive from Salzburg. We were part of a tour group of 30 pax. Porterage is provided at this hotel. We were allocated on the third floor. There are about five rooms on each floor. Our triple sharing room was a junior suite with a mini kitchen complete with cutlery and plates. There is a kettle as well as a coffee machine. The room is very big, with a double bed and a roll out bed at the living room, and there is a dining table as well. The balcony is very big too and we have the view of the lake. The pillows are very big and very soft. Buffet breakfast is served at the restaurant on the ground level. The staff serves us coffee or tea on a tray with a small jug of milk. There are an assortment of cereals, fruits, scrambled egg and hard boiled egg, bacon and ham. Food is nice and service is very good too. The lake is about ten minutes walk from the hotel. The view is beautiful. We wish we have more time to explore the hotel ground and enjoy the facilities. Unfortunately we stayed for only one night and have to check out early the next day to continue on our tour.

  Great service, family owned, a gem!

  I stumbled into this hotel on line while traveling somewhat randomly through Austria and Germany. I had heard the area was pretty, drove there and decided to stay the night. This place is a gem. Where to begin? Teddy, the current owner who took over from his parents, and his lovely wife (I assume) create a fun and generous atmosphere, eager to make your stay as rich possible. While not the least bit intrusive, if you ask for advice you will get it. Within moments I had hiking routes, biking routes, and dining recommendations well in hand as well as access to a private beach. I was offered my pick of 9 or 10 excellent bicycles for free to use at my discretion and parking was ample, available and free. I was able to ride this bike on a vigorous uphill gravel road to a beautiful lake, some Idealic pastures (with cows wearing cowbells grazing right there - the Sound of Music comes to mind) and to the have a sparkling apple juice at a high mountain hut before returning, all free of charge. The room was typical in size for the area with a very good bed, a lovely balcony and plenty of hot water. Theres also an excellent refrigerator that actually kept my beverages ice cold. The free morning breakfast is typical for the area with exceptional coffee and a lovely terrace on which to dine in good weather. Ive uploaded a photo. Needless to say the proprietors speak perfect English (since my German is atrocious) I immediately extended my stay after the first day as I really felt so at home and comfortable at a local hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

  Fabulous Location

  The town of St. Wolfgang is an absolutely gorgeous Austrian resort on the lake. The Hotel Furian is well located within walking distance of the lovely town. The hotel has an amazing lakeside beach area (about 200m walk from the hotel) which we enjoyed very much. There are also watersports on offer for the adventurous! The hotel itself is a traditional alpine chalet style, however unfortunately the room we had was disappointing. Our room was very dated and had a definite smell of an old smokers room, it's a real shame as the potential to be amazing is there. The staff were really friendly and helpful, with an update to the decor/ rooms this hotel could easily get 5 star reviews.

  very impressive hotel

  I've been to Europe ten days ago. I went to many places around the Swiss and Austrian Alps by honeymoon, and the St.Wolfgang was our last itinerary. The place was really well rested and the staff were friendly and had a good time in the quiet and beautiful resort town. It's really far from Korea but my husband and I want to go again. I couldn't swim because the weather was bad, but when I go back, I want to swim or ski
