    Very good service

I went with my family for my mom's birthday. The bell service was great and the people in hotel were nice. Staffs always give directions and helping. A little birthday cake was nice. We had dinner in the Cantonese restaurant and food were good but a bit too salty. Breakfast was good but the bread selection.

    Family hotel

As a long time resident of Taipei I have been to Fulong beach several times. Sometimes for just one day, other times in local small hotels. I wanted to stay at the Fullon hotel but always thought it was overpriced especially on weekends. Prices are around 300 US$ and up on week ends. I found a room on hotels.com for 200 US$ on a weekday night so decided to give it a try. We arrived at the hotel around 1 pm. We were told we could only check in at 3 pm. The first thing we wanted to do upon arrival is get changed and enjoy the beach and pool. We decided to have a lunch in their coffee shop while waiting for the room to be ready. Lunch was good, however selection was very limited. They did however their very best and we got the room key before 3 pm. The room was beautiful, clean and big. There were 2 double beds, a Japanese style sitting area, a big bathroom with double sink, toilet and shower and one more separate toilet. There was also a balcony with a table and two chairs. Our room was facing the mountain and overlooking the swimming pool. What I would say is missing in the rooms are bathrobes and slippers. There is a refrigerator in the room but there is only complimentary water and 2 sports drinks inside, not really a big problem since there is a 7 eleven around the corner. The hotel is very much caters to families and people with kids. There are several pools and especially for kids it seems heaven. The 'adult' pool looks really nice. However it's only like 100 cm deep. Personally I don't like this. There are only 2 or 3 sunbeds around the pool which was fine since the hotel was very quiet and the pool empty so we always had a sunbed or chair available. I wonder however how this works on weekends when it gets busy. There is a public beach in front of the hotel. Entrance fee is 100 NT$ but as a guest of the hotel you get free tickets. The beach is nice and clean however there are not many facilities. You can rent an umbrella and mats but no sunbeds. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant at night since it was very quiet and the selection they offered was very limited. We went out and found a seafood restaurant located next to a temple at about 15 mins walk from the hotel. There are a couple of other restaurants in the main street but they at all very local and close very early at night. The next morning we did have breakfast in the hotel. It is buffet style both Asian and Western food. As a Westerner I found the variety of bread very poor. Also usually in hotels of this price range there is an egg station where they cook your eggs the way you like them. Here everything was precooked and sitting in containers under lamps to keep it warm. Overall it is a nice and new hotel. The place however has a lot of potential, I missed things that could be done without much extra effort or investment. I missed a hotel bar, music by the pool, a pool bar, a place to sit outside and enjoy an ice cream, a snack or a drink. The hotel caters to local Taiwanese mostly and I understand that things that I expect are not part of their culture.

    terrible experience

We went on this trip with 2 couples so we chose Double Room and it's not what we expected at all! First of all the second couple can only sleep in the "living room" with no curtain to shade the light. Can you image it? Secondly, there is no soap dish in the shower, where do I supposed to put my soap before and after showering? what if I accidentally step onto it?

    Nice hotel near the beach

We went there at low season, so basically everything was quite: not many tourists, occasionally one group Taiwanese guests coming for a weekend. The hotel is actually a beach resort as it has both standard rooms and seaside villas, I could image how busy it would be during the high season. We stayed in a double room for three nights, the room was clean and it had a little balcony that you could sit on and chill out. The interior is Japanese style, and the room facilities are very good. In the main building of the hotel, there is a Spa, including a hot spring area and a small fitness room. All these made our stay quite convenient. Last but not least the hotel staff are very friendly, you would feel welcome there.

    Day trip from Taipei

We didn't stay in a room at the hotel but did use several of the amenities while there for the day. Food - Selection and Quality is POOR. Ran out of beef noodle soup by 12:45, Huh? Sandwiches are small and the mead is dry. Wine and Liquor - VERY limited selection - one kind of red wine, NO white or Rose, and only two types of prosecco sparkling wine. NO Frozen drinks available. Unusual for a beach resort. SPA - Unable to accommodate two people at the same time for a massage. Only one therapist on at a time. - How many guests stay in the hotel on the weekend? Close and convenient to the train and beach. Cool breeze and plenty of shade on the back of the hotel. Fantastic view. Suggestion, there is a $300 NTD charge to bring your own food and eat it on the terrace . Well worth the $300.
