  Good location with fair price

  One night in this hotel, single room(non smoking) 1. Can change pillow at 1F by yourself. 2. staff are nice 3. Soundproof for the single room is so so coz you can hear chatting from other room easily. 4. WIFI is free and stable. 5. A convenient store(Family Mart) right in front of the hotel, which is a plus for me. 6. 3 mins walk from station, good for those who got late arrival.

  Nice and comfortable Stay

  Stay one night at this hotel and experience friendly staff, nice and comfortable room, clean environment and a great onsen inside the hotel. The location is near to fukuyama station and is very convenient. Highly recommend for travellers

  Good Location but Old Hotel

  The hotel is a bit old (I guess it was build in 1970s) and the room is not well maintained. There was no kettle in the room and I needed to go to the corridor for hot water. When I went to the hotel in the morning, the staff at the front desk promised to give me a room facing Fukuyama castle. However, when I returned in the afternoon to check in, I found that the view of the room was completely blocked by a very large column outside. There was no view at all. The male staff at the front desk in the afternoon could not speak any English at all. He even had difficulty in understanding English.

  Nice Hotel, well located near the Jr station.

  The hotel is located only 5 min. walk from the Jr Fukuyama station and the castle. I was able to check in at 13h30 instead of 15h (standard checking time in Japan) who was really appreciated. The room was decent size (above average size for Japan), with all the usual amenities including a pants press. They also have three different public bath with health benefits open from 15h until 24h. One thing I really liked was the fact that plugs were around the bed so it was ideal to charge your phone or tablet while in bed compare to many other hotels where the plugs was located in the most unpractical spots. They also offer free tea, coffee and water on each floors. The staff was polite, some of them spoke English quite well, they offer different type of pillow that you can choose from and they also serve breakfast (but I don't have any so I can't comment on it). As a Jr rail pass holder I found this hotel well located to go to Hiroshima (only 20 min.) and with reasonable rates. Overall this hotel would be a good base to explore the area IF you're the holder of a Jr rail pass. I would stay again.

  Uncomfortable stay

  Frankly speaking, the only pros of this hotel is its location. Within 5 minutes walk from JR Fukuyama station. Nothing else. Cons: It's a quite old style hotel. Not simply talking about the hardware, but also its software - people & management. The front office staff can speak basic English is rare, except the arrogant manager. Their check out time is 10:00, but the check in time is 15:00. How efficient they are to clean the rooms. However, I have to say the housekeepers didn't really do their jobs properly. At least, my room wasn't being cleaned during my 2 nights stay. The towel being used wasn't replaced. Room size is very very small. No kettle or bottle water would be provided. What a joke! Don't recommend it!
