  Very affordable hotel

  We enjoyed our stay with clean rooms. They replace everyday including bath towels. They have free coffee in the reception area so you don't have to go to a nearby 711 or lawson. They also have a good location. Well recommended for a family.

  Family visit

  We are staying here at the moment. Fukuwauchi is a Japanese style guesthouse in a lovely area with a ver local feel. I picked it as we are a family if 5 , 2 adults 3 kids age 21,18,24 and it is difficult to find rooms for 5 in Tokyo. As it is a guest house there is no bar or restaurant but we like that. There is free tea s as and coffee at reception and a microwave there too. The reception staff are wonderful. They are so nice and polite and helpful. Our delux room for 5 has 2 western single beds and a lovely big tatami floor for 3 large futon mattresses for the kids. There is a tv, coffee table and a stool and no other furniture so very Japanese style. There is a kettle fridge and sink area which is great for storing our 7/11 purchases which is 1 min away and a bathroom and bath/shower. The area is quiet but the traffic is not so earplugs are provided. Tokyo Skytree is a 30 min walk away and we have a wonderful view of it from our window. Asakusa is a 13 min walk away . There is a wonderful public Onsen across the road that hasnt changed since 1950 and I really enjoyed it after a long days sightseeing and its only 400 yen if you get a voucher from reception. The guesthouse would suit someone looking for Japanese style accommodation but within walking distance of sights and metros. We traveled light so we have plenty of room and there is a launderette across the road too. Finally 4 mins walk away is a wonderful small authentic Ramen restaurant called Gatsun Ramen where the lovely owner will serve you delicious ramen and Gyozo all while listening to his favorite music, american country n western! We kept going back .

  Very nice hotel

  It was a very nice experience with free coffee, a microwave and hot water in the main lobby, and attentive service. What a great vintage, tradition hotel. And theres even a 7-eleven across the street. Theres WiFi in every room and even the lobby. Overall a very nice stay.

  Great place to stay

  I loved this place and Im definitely coming back. Its traditional Japanese and the staff is very friendly. The room is big enough and you sleep on a mat on the floor. It was not as bad as I thought and actually sleep well. They have free coffee and hot chocolate in the lobby. Enjoy your stay if you come here.

  What a throwback in time! Loved it

  What a great little place! Out room was larger than any other room weve stayed at in Tokyo. The futons were comfortable and the shower was large and you could strip mine with the water pressure if need be. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. Theres a 7-eleven 50ft away for those late night cravings and a lot of places to get food during the day. Also, its a quick 100yen trip by bus to the Tokyo Skytree. The bus stop is 3 blocks away and overall quicker than taking the Asakusa train. Would definitely stay here again.
