  Fukinoyu is a good Japanese ryokan located in southern Fukushima Prefecture. Due to the nuclear incident in 2011, the number of visitors to the area is still low, and businesses like Fukinoyu are struggling. We decided to spend a day at the Hawaiians resort and spend the night at Fukinoyu. When we arrived, we found our family name posted on the welcome board at the entrance, and the staff obviously were focused on giving us and the handful of other guests the best service possible. Our tatami mat room was spacious and clean, and the baths (both indoor and outdoor) were very nice. They served us dinner and breakfast in a private dining room, and the food was delicious and plentiful. I recommend Fukinoyu for a traditional, omotenashi Japanese ryokan experience.
