Nice resort but beware of smog in the area.

Stylish sleek chinese architecture in a beautiful setting. Unfortunately the entire area was under a thick smog while we stayed here. We remained as much as possible inside because when you walked outside, it was as if you would put your nose into the exhaust of a running engine... What a pity for this fine place. Our very spacious suite with balcony overlooked a lake and part of the golf course. Again stylish sleek chinese interior design, nice to look at but not so comfortable. Very hard mattress on the bed, a duvet that moved all night and two fine chinese lay beds if you wanted to read or drink tea or watch tv but not comfortable at all. We missed a comfortable sofa. Very good service.

Tea in Lounge and Dinner at Asian corner restaurant

We had a pleasant time at Funchun resort after a walk in the forest nearby. Experience was very good except the first contact with the security at the door, who told us that we should pay 500 rmb per person to get in, although we mentioned that we wanted to have tea and dinner... after insisting and the staff checking, we could get it. The place is amazingly designed by Jean Michel Gathy and is visually incredible... We had first tea at the lounge outside as the restaurant is closed in the afternoon. The Funchun Long Jin tea was great and presented in very pretty ceramic glasses. We also tried the afternoon tea which offers a mix of Chinese and Western sweets. That was good in overall but i would say they should keep it Chinese only instead of offering some bought in frozen item you can find everywhere... Service was decent but could be better. Our dinner at the restaurant was great. The menu is quite large and offers a lot of local food (english on the menu is fair but not matching the Chinese writing. Dish sound amazing in Chinese but just ok in English). The fish head is outstanding, very well cooked but be careful, it is very big (1 for 4 plus 3 other dishes was more than enough) and service was great to advise us on this. We had a local beef dish which was also good although the beef was tough. Other dishes we ordered were marinated daikon, bamboo and gluten balls were all good. I also have to praise the florist of the hotel who makes amazing job. All is innovative, creative and merging Asian and Western style. Great work! Overall a good experience and willing to come back to try the hotel.

    Great stay

A great place to relax near city. This is a very different resort than a normal hotel. There are serval times that you can take the boat and you can also enjoy the squire in door pool. Maybe three days two nights at the resort would be a better choice. You can relax in a nature out door environment near city. All the traditional setting are very special and different, which I was amazed.

    Zen Paradise

My husband and I went to Fuchun Resort for a friend's wedding and stayed there for two nights. First of all, the customer service at this hotel was excellent. ROOM: The views of the mountains and the pond are incredible. The rooms are clean and beautiful. I was pleasantly surprised to find snacks (grapes and peanuts) when we arrived to the room. The hotel also had complimentary drinks and snacks in the room's fridge. I enjoyed receiving a note with the weather report for the next day. The resort also had awesome robes, slippers and toiletries in the room for you to use. Some of our friends stayed in suites, which were much larger and had an incredible view of the pond. PROTIP: Pay close attention where your room is located. The resort is very large and it's easy to get lost (It happened to me). This resort is also filled with photo opportunities. It's so beautiful. It's hard not to take advantage of that. FOOD: The meals were not included in our hotel stay price but the resort does have restaurants onsite offering Western and Chinese food. We shared small plates at the Asian restaurant with friends and we walked away happy with our choice. We also tried the breakfast buffet, which was amazing. You could grab food and coffee/tea from the buffet. And let me tell you, I still dream about the noodles offered. You can also order à la carte for your main course. AMENITIES: The indoor pool at the hotel is incredible but keep in mind you need to wear a swimming cap. If the pool is not your thing, you can also use a hot tub outdoors. Near the pool area, you'll find the hotel's spa. My husband and I paid for 1-hour massages, which were incredible and at a good price. We also loved being offered tea before and after our massage. The hotel also offers a boat service that allows you to reach the golf course area. There are several activities offered at this hotel, including tea leaf picking. We didn't have the time to do them, but they are available, if you are interested. Needless to say, we loved our stay and would go back again.

Luxurious stay at a tea resort

Stayed one night here with my wife and toddler son. Took a didi cab from Hangzhou train station to the resort. Ride was about 50 mins. Arrived around 2pm and we had booked activities like baking cookies, to learning taichi and afternoon tea at the resort. There are many activities to do at the resort however if you really squeeze them closely you can finish most activities within 1 to 2 days. Tea leaf picking was quite enjoyable in the morning. However the hiking was not as nice as expected. But that could be because we had a toddler along. Customer service was really good and they had a very high standard in the things they did. Hotel stay was pricey but they upgraded our room and it was huge. Really enjoyed the bathtub and the movable TV. The resort itself is very beautiful. Artistic designs. We tried the Chinese restaurant and really loved the taste of the food. Only real issue is leaving the resort. You will need the resort to arrange a cab for you and it is best to decide on when you want the cab to pick you up. We did not realise this and missed our train which we wanted to take in Hangzhou and instead went to Fuyang station instead to take a later train. Regardless the staff were very helpful. Thank you once again! hopefully we will visit here again in the future. Hotel Room: 5 Stars (Huge room with a nice bathtub. Bed was very comfortable) Room View: 4 Stars (View of bamboo shoots outside and the lake) Service of Staff: 5 Stars (Very good service and proactive in helping you with matters) Lounges/Restaurants: 5 Stars (Restaurants had very good food. Amazing but pricey.) Room Service: (NA) Location: 4 Stars (20 mins to Fuyang railway station and 1hr to Hangzhou station)
