  different but modest

  The hotel is quite different from the ones we know. The whole place was once a monastery so the rooms were in the past cells for the monks. Not so bad though except for the fact they need some improvements such as more careful cleaning, better pillows, the air conditioner in the room we stayed was running water on the floor. Since the rooms are so close to each other they are not so quiet. Pehaps some signs insructing people to keep quiet might help. quiet expensive for what it offers

  An excellent stay in a surprising place overlooking wonderful Ioannina and its lake.

  The place is unusual with lots of different spaces catering to different publics : a young bar with not so loud music, a chic restaurant, a big playground, rooms that manage to be quiet as they are well insulated. Perfect wifi (in spite of the large area) and efficient inaudible air conditioning. Add to that the extremely warm welcome by Kostas who goes out of his way to explain the function of all the different buildings and Giorgos who not only cooks an excellent breakfast but gave me all the instructions as well as a hand-drawn map to go to a beautiful religious office on the 15th of August.   very good

  very good and nice hotel. everything is new and very clean. the breakfast was excellent and had wide choices. the restaurant near by is very good and has a great view. the staff very friendly and helpful.

  Ideal for large families with children

  The place is very quite, ideally placed out of the city and near the nature. They provide large rooms for 2-3 kids and a fireplace. The breakfast however although very nice and local cuisine has stairs and access with a stroller is hard but not impossible as staff is friendly and willing to help. Overall, the place combines the stay the food and the bar.

  One night stop over on our way to Corfu

  We had a family room with 1 double and 2 single beds, for a 1 night stop over, before getting the ferry the following day to Corfu. Excellent breakfast included. Very economical. When I booked on line I mistakenly thought it was a 2 room suite. In hindsight for a family of 4 with 2 teenagers, 2 seperate rooms are better but as it was only for a night it was fine. For a longer stay, the family room would be good with young children. This is not a normal hotel, but it's lovely. Very good service throughout. The rooms are in a former, small monastery. The reception in another building offers coffee and there's a charming breakfast room in yet another building. Very clean, well decorated, traditional northern Greek style rooms with wood and stone, and a fireplace. Would be great in the winter too. Ample parking across from a large, open and safe expanse, right in front of the rooms. I didn't like our bathroom. The area around the hotel is a resort style complex that has a superb restaurant with stunning views across Ioannina and the lake.There's also a cafe/bar with music and another large cafe/ play area with inflatables for families with young children. The land is expansive so no part intrudes on the other. There's a huge amount of organized, free parking available. This is a great place for families. Lovely in the summer. The restaurant is more formal.
