  A let down...

  Looking for a night away that had a pool for our family of six to enjoy. Found this place online that had pictures of a beautiful pool. So we booked it. Check-in at 4 and when we arrived the young man at the check in counter didnt smile or welcome us, didnt seem like he wanted to help us. Once checked in he informed us that the pool would close at 5! Didnt open until 8 am either!!! So if you stay for one night you dont get to enjoy the pool. So bad. The rooms were dirty and starting to run down too...(see the pictures). This is supposed to be a high quality, great service resort...it is neither.

  Wonderful Resort Hotel

  With hotspring in the room. the hotel provide wonderful facility. My children enjoy the hotspring for the 1st time. The weather is nice as hotel is located on high ground, very cooling in the morning.

  Refreshing holiday

  We stayed at Freshfields Resort for 1 day during the Taichung Flower Expo. Nice hotel with private onsen inside the room, and well designed room with nice view to the outside. The hotel has nice spa facilities that unfortunately I didnt try that time. Breakfast was nice.

  They have gone terribly downhill

  As Taichung residents we have been going to Freshfileds for many years both for overnight stays and just to eat in the Japanese restaurant. Today we had one of the worst meals we have ever had. The selection was horrible, and the food, especially the sashimi was actually bad We'll certainly never go back.

  great room, fair food

  the room is spacious with huge onsens and spectacular view. playroom is fun for small kids. staff is nice except the lady at the front door. dinner at the buffet, food was poor. crabs were small, worst fried veggies i ever eaten, all others were so-so. the pool is small and i was disappointed that the water of the spa area next to it was cold. disgusting smell came from the drains there. however the staff was helpful and caring at the pool.
