  Home away from home

  This is not an hostel, is a family, I felt loved since I walked in the first day. Great facilities, everything kept clean and tidy . The breakfast is excellent and served every morning. There are also pancakes! I met great people , and built friendship for life. I will come back for sure! Thank you guys for making my trip to Freo so enjoyable.

  Very good time in this hostel :)

  We stayed at the Fremantle hostel for few nights and I really recommend it. Perfect location, friendly staff, good common spaces with a great pool and a cinema room. I would definitely choose the same hostel if I had to come back to Fremantle.

  Love this place!

  This place really felt like home and like a family! Perfect location, close to shops,bars and clubs, cool chilling areas, inside and outside, even a new cinema room! The kitchen has everything you need and even has lockers. But the atmosphere got the first place! I stayed here for 3 months and will come back for sure

  The loudest hostel I have ever stayed !

  Firstly , the good points . Main areas were clean and the room ( a double -room 2 was clean and comfortable ). Breakfast was provided and was sufficient . The staff seemed friendly at the reception desk . But ..... the noise was ridiculous for a Sunday night and they really need some sort of Rules about it . We didnt get home til after 9 30pm and at that stage the music was in full flight and the play was buzzing . There was a movie playing so loudly til about 1145pm on Sunday night . I used ear plugs but still at 1230 - 1 am into Monday morning there was still people in the main area laughing and talking so loudly , chairs being dragged around ... impossible to get any sleep . It would have been quieter outside in the alley at 1 am in the morning . I have stayed at many backpackers and this one just needs stricter rules on quiet time and lights out on a Sunday night (1 am in just ridiculous). I would understand if it was a Friday or Saturday night but it wasnt ... After only managing a few hours sleep ( with the help of ear plugs ) I was glad I only booked one night and was happy to move elsewhere so I could get some sleep . Its a shame because this place has so much going for it but at the end of the day , I needed sleep and thats why I booked a double room rather than a dorm ... but it still didnt seem to matter.

  Messy room, clean common areas/kitchen

  Check in required a $20 key deposit. I stayed in their 8-8 mixed room. It was a smelly crowded mess with everyone's belongings sprawled across the room. The bed sheets and pillow cases were not premade, although provided. No towel. There was no aircon and few outlets. The room was adjacent to the outside section where noise permeated into the late hours. There are separated gender bathrooms; two stalls were out of toilet paper in the morning. Computers available to use. Their kitchen was spacious, clean, and had the necessary equipment. Wifi was dismal. Free breakfast only includes some coffee/tea, toast with butter, jams and PB and 2 types of cereal. There's a large common space with a pool table downstairs and at the front. Staff were friendly and down to get to know you. He offered me to store my luggage at the hostel while I went to Rottnest for 2 days but I did not take the offer. I was happy to have only stayed the 1 night but would recommend others to look elsewhere.
