What a joke this place is with the rudest managersTerribly run business. From the moment we called to enquire about making a booking we were spoken to rude and abruptly, however with Fraser Island being very busy and unable to find other accommodation we proceeded with booking 1 night here. WHAT A MISTAKE THIS WAS! The staff are all new so they don't know what's going on and will give you wrong information. We should have arrived by 4pm but after a staff member giving us the complete wrong instructions (drive 1 hour up the beach then take the first left, which should have been drive 2 hours up the beach then turn left) we arrived after 8pm after tirelessly being lost on Frasers bush tracks and at one stage getting ready to just sleep on the beach in the car we were that lost. We tried calling them for hours as we were very lost but no answer. When they finally did answer Jennifer's rude response was non apologetic, simply yelled 'well I'm here on my own and couldn't get to the phone'. Upon check out we waited for reception to open at 9am and brought 2 coffees upon handing the keys back to 2 young girls at the counter. The same counter that we collected the keys from at checkin. 3 Days later I received a message saying we haven't handed our key in? I also then checked my bank statement to realise I had been double charged. Called and spoke to Jennifer who I believe is the manager and gosh I have never dealt with someone so rude and agressive in my life! Immediately she was aggressive from the moment she answered the phone. Upon informing Jennifer that we checked out with 2 young girls, she started blaming us immediately and said we didn't return the keys and that's why you have been charged for the extra night and you will not be refunded until the keys are returned. We don't have the keys your staff do! I voiced my concerns about their staff as we had been misinformed by them numerous times and know for a fact one had just started working there that day. Jennifer aggressively responded with 'I have no staff and your welcome to apply for a job'. When I explained that it's not our fault your staff lost the keys Jennifer then said that we left a light on so that apparently also warrants an extra room night charge? What The? I am lucky enough to travel lots and highly regret ever booking here. I have NEVER experienced such rudeness and agression off someone in my life. I truly hope no one else has been spoken to the way we have been. People with attitudes like this should not be working in tourism it's probably why the staff are all new to. If you stay here maybe take a video of yourself returning your keys so you don't have the same problem we have. We have just returned from the most incredible holiday up the coast, feeling fresh and revitalised and now that's slowly fizzing out as we battle to get our money back literally on the day we return home. Be sure to pack your own food as the food they dish up is uneditable. Paid $20 for a fish burger with what tasted like woolworths fish fingers. Which apparently we were lucky to get as the owner was apparently in a good mood to make some food after 8pm. The accommodation is severely overpriced and basic. $195 a night for a cabin with beds a kettle and some lockers. I cannot recommend this place and regret staying here. Most unprofessional, rude, aggressive and horrible people (management) I have ever dealt with in my life! It's not our fault your staff misplaced our room keys! STILL WAITING FOR A REFUND.

Needs some TLC and extra staffWe booked a room in the lodge, which is basic with separate access to ensuite bathroom. The concept of the place is cool, a lodge in Happy Valley village with bar and shops and easy access to the beach. However rooms and facilities were not up to standard. Our room needed a paint job, light bulbs replaced, curtains and access to a broom and dust pan would have been nice. We didn't mind walking up to camp kitchen to cook dinner, but the kitchen felt unclean and was not up to standard. The crockery and cutlery cupboard was a mess with no bowls or spoons, only two burner stove which had no lighter, fridge looked about 20 years old. Service was not great, we tried to email and call a couple of days before to arrange early check in but no one replied. The restaurant was closed for dinner two of the three nights we were staying. This place has great potential but definitely needs a bit of TLC.

Faulty TowersI will make this brief, in an attempt to save everybody out there from ever having to go through this place. It's very bad it's really bad which is really really sad. The rooms you could put up with but if you're one of those people that wants to be impressed don't even consider it but I guess that could be said for most places on Fraser Island to be frank. Now I want you to listen to me really carefully. If you are considering going down to the bistro to eat or drink or be entertained or even served don't even think about it. The staff are Clueless the food is 100% not edible I repeated NOT edible. When we were there there was only one other table with people on it yet they ran out of everything on the menu ...so I had jus tone choice and that was a chicken parmajana....... which I really don't want to talk about ..... too many bad memories at this moment and I need to see a THERAPIST. Trust me I don't like to write harsh criticisms but this is an avoid at all costs ... I'll repeat avoid avoid avoid

Cute CabinWe stayed in one of the cosy little cabins, cafe/store nearby, laundry, reasonably clean. Its not the flashest accommodation on the island however it had everything we needed and kept us out of the heavy rain.

Great family stayFantastic position close to the beach to drive to all tourist sites. Clean and tidy everything supplied. Need own 4wd to get around, need to be aware of the tides. Visited Eulong Resort for lunch which was good and was cheap.
