  Larnaka in a day

  The Francis Apartments were well suited for a quick visit to the city. It is within easy walking distance to the shopping and beach. The apartment is spacious and clean with air conditioning in the bedroom and living room. There is a large kitchen and the place has a great supply of hot water. If yoi are looking fir middle of the road this is it!

  We got a two bedroom. Which was great as we could sleep in the back bedroom away from the street. Top floor. There was a long and large living room with a dining table. Good for laptops. Kitchen and hallways. Two bathrooms with one smaller and two bedrooms. WiFi was good. Only thing is since they were apartments, you had to get your key from the hotel half a block away which is also where you had breakfast. I would stay here again for sure. Only a few blocks from the marina. Everything around is easily walkable and safe.

  What a terrific way to relax!

  This time in Larnaca, I stayed at the Francis Apartments. (Had originally planned on staying at the Frangiorgio again, but it was undergoing renovations.) For me, with my particular lifestyle and as a 'low maintenance guest', this place was perfect! Huge apartment, with a full kitchen. Clean, quiet, comfortable, private - and at a great rate. Apartment faced the street, and, interestingly, no noise at all! The only 'noise' was from the drums of the National Day parade that I was fortunate enough to watch from my balcony. Even after a couple of months, I was still waiting for some noise from the renovations on the adjacent Frangiorgio, but nothing! Not a hammer, not a drill, not a saw. (Must have something to do with the acoustics in the building.) Was able to capture some gorgeous sunrise photos from the balcony. Excellent WiFi. Hot water 'on demand', at the press of a little timer switch. Also really great: the little Frangiorgio convenience store, just a few meters up the street - open 24/7. What really added to the experience was the great Frangiorgio team that runs the place. A guest can have a crappy place with great employees; a great place with crappy employees; or a crappy place with crappy employees. At the Francis/Frangiorgio, the guest can have only a great place with great employees!

  Large, roomy, but definitely needs work!

  We arrived late (2 a.m.) and were confronted with an 'additional' fee (later cancelled) upon arrival, so not a good start. The apt. itself is large, roomy, and has 2 bathrooms. The shower had NO pressure, so hardly any water flowed, and was NOT hot. There was no place to put toiletries, clothes, towels, etc. in that large bathroom. At least it was clean, unlike the kitchen. Even the plastic table 'cloth' was torn and grungy. The whole place smelled 'musty' and was lacking any kind of personality, and even had bare light bulbs. None of the side table lamps worked. Although we got immediate help when we had wifi issues, we would never stay here again, not for that price. The 'booking' co. used is well-known but is not forthright in its presentations of the properties which we have found out to our dismay. Photos NOT included are a warning too for those looking for places to stay.

  Amazing, no words to describe

  This apartment is stylish without being over the top. The host Joanne makes this a very easy place to base yourself to see a lot of Cyprus. Joanne even made sure we have the basic creature comforts of a bottle of wine, tea, coffee and most importantly adapters so we could charge our gadgets. Super location, near the beach and right in the heart of Larnaka. Peaceful and serene.
