  Quality and Amazing Views at a Budget Price.

  This is a top class hotel. We had a large room with great views of Mt Tai. The hotel has an enormous reception area with an attractive light display and a small self service coffee bar. Staff were friendly and helpful but bar staff had no idea on how to serve a gin and tonic although they could produce a very good coffee. We ordered a meal - in room dining, and received a beautifully presented meal with additional food at a very reasonable price .Beds were comfortable and linen of excellent quality. There is an unusual room layout with the bath alcove protruding into the bed area and with glass walls! Privacy is achieved with electric blinds. There is free Wifi but despite 100 TV channels - there are no English language channels. We would certainly recommend a stay at this hotel.

  Disgusting staff in the cafeteria

  Would have given this place a solid 4 if it wasnt for this staff member (pictured) in the cafeteria who made my trip to the buffet uncomfortable. I paid a substantial amount only to be subject to poor quality food and harassment by this chef. Im not sure what his name is but he approached me while I was getting food insisting on conversing with me when I was trying to mind my own business. Throughout the night he continued to make me feel uncomfortable by following me around the buffet area and staring me down, even in the presence of my partner. All we wanted to do was enjoy a good meal, keep to ourselves and not have to be subject to lurid and degrading behaviour from a staff member of a hotel promising a 5 star experience. Perhaps you should do a more thorough background check on your employees.

  Top service by front desk staff

  The front desk upgraded my standard room to suite. The suite is really big and they also provided fruits and tofu puddings for welcome gifts. After checking out I found I left my cellphone in the room I was really worried.. However I was told they found the phone and kept it for me for pickup. Thanks for attentive service

  Lovely

  We had a lovely stay here for one night on our private tour of Shandong. The view of Tai Mountain was right outside our windows which made this hotel special. Room was spacious and clean. We had dinner at the buffet and most servers were courteous and helpful. Food was abundant with plenty of varieties. Only limited to one piece of steak though. There didn't seem to have much around or near the hotel.

  Unsurprisingly mediocre

  This hotel is pretty typical fare for small town China. That said, it certainly isn't the worst place we've stayed at. Pros: convenient location, big swimming pool, cheap rooms. The buffet breakfast actually isn't too bad either, all things considered. We were also impressed by the 6rmb french fries on the bar menu. Cons: everything seems a bit grubby and even the non smoking rooms smell faintly of smoke. Also the staff can be incredibly rude. They charged us for a breakfast we didn't want and didn't eat and then tried to argue that it was impossible for them to cancel the order. No apology offered, though they eventually did cancel it. Anyway, if you're visiting Tai'an then this place is probably as good as any.
