  Underwhelming

  I don't want to completely bash this hotel but as the previous reviews suggest, it is pretty bad. This can be justified though by the complete renovation that is currently in progress. Soon this review will be obsolete but as of right now, the worst thing about this hotel is definitely the rooms. While the lobby and pool area are nice, as soon as you enter the second floor or above, you will be hit with an old musty smell combined with cigarette smoke. In addition, the rooms are outdated, have no microwave, the toilets flush slow, and the ceilings in the bathroom are molded and falling apart. The best thing about this hotel was the staff though. My family and I checked out early, not because of the hotel itself, just because the weather was not in our favor, and while signs around the hotel stress that refunds and discounts are not allowed, the worker at the front desk is one who suggested how we could get a refund. Both people I dealt with at the front desk were spectacular. I'm not sure if it was just because they were under renovation and this was their way of making up for it, but either way, it was a nice touch on top of the underwhelming hotel presence in itself.

  Its really bad

  Good thing we had only one night stay. The person at the desk is nice. I understand that they are renovating, however it was really gross here. Dirty sheets, dirty smoke smelling room. The bathroom was at least clean and I didnt see any bugs. Black mold and no batteries in the smoke detector. Exposed wires and if you use a plug it sparks. We debated in sleeping outside in our car instead lol. They also make you sign something saying no refunds are given for any reason.

  It looks nothing like the pictures.

  I'm impressed by the art of deception though. So let's start with that it is under construction and there's a note saying there will be no refunds. Its all just concrete. The ceiling was falling of in the bathroom. The sheets and curtains had stains that looked 50 years old. I'm not a mean person, but what a disappointment.

  Disgusting hotel!

  Horrible experience! The phone, iron and exercise equipment didn't work. The lamps, iron board and mirrors had rust on them. The television channels were not clear at all. The room was not cleaned properly. There were no chairs on the balcony. The blow dryer had been ripped off the bathroom wall and the front door was damaged. The staff werent helpful at all.

  Worst ever

  Im so appalled at how offensively disgusting this room is and this hotel. I needed to be in town for one night to see a sick relative so I needed somewhere close to the home she is in and the airport. I have written countless reviews and I always like to be as fair as possible and give into account many factors but there is no hope for this hotel or its staff. Checked in and waited over five minutes at the counter with no staff members to be found when the man came to the front desk he gave us an extreme attitude about checking us in nor did he greet us . The room is disgusting, there is food on the floor there are stains on the bed linen there are stains on the floor. There are broken light fixtures the hair dryer is broken the blinds are broken. The room has a disgusting stale cigarette smoke smell. Dont get me started on the bathroom. Beyond words. I cant believe this place is in business. Choose wisely and choose somewhere else. Be well and enjoy your time in Myrtle Beach.
