  Modern and clean

  Typical of most Marriott hotels - modern and clean with friendly staff. Located in the downtown area but very quiet. Plenty of free parking. Has a great pub inside the building; food and entertainment very good. Great place to stay on the drive to eastern Canada. I would definitely stay there again.

  cleanliness concerns

  Had to travel for business and with covid still around, I make a point of travelling with alot of PPE. I will now have to add room cleaning items to the list. As a platinum member, I would expect to receive at a minimum, a clean room upon check in. Instead, I was placed in a room that still had items left in it from the last visitor. When I called the front desk, they suggested perhaps these things left were perhaps a welcome gift. When I informed them of what was left, they then said perhaps they were left by the last occupant. I had hoped that a hotel under the Sheraton name brand, which does charge a premium over other hotels in this area, would have taken the provincial standards on covid cleaning seriously. I truly think that hotelso need to more accountable during this time. A used room recycled without proper cleaning is a huge concern. I will be staying elsewhere moving forward. If you decide to stay here, bring room cleaning items and wipe everything down, as a check list for cleaning is not consistently being followed at this location. I also noted that rooms are not being alternated, but rather the same rooms being used back to back. Moving forward, I will be looking for confirmation/information from my next hotel on what precautions they are taking. I am a huge Marriott fan, but this hotel did not live up to the basic level of cleanliness during normal times, let alone during Covid times. As an employee of a large corporation that takes employee safety seriously, after a stay at a hotel, I am required to provide feedback on the safety of the hotels during Covid and thus will not be recommending this hotel as a choice for any colleagues.

  Terrible hotel very dated

  We stayed here as we had to do some business in the area, and I would say try to avoid at all cost. There is a brand new hotel by the casino that is what I would recommend. This hotel is very dated, the lobby is nice but the hallways feel like a dungeon very dark! The room was not clean!! The outside of hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated in over 25 years. Marriott should sell this property, I will never stay at this hotel again. This is 100% not Marriott standards!

  Nice hotel and great staff!

  This is my second visit at this hotel and pleased with decor, cleanliness and the great staff. The front desk staff was very friendly and always offering to assist. It is a great hotel if you don't want to drive anywhere's to get to a restaurant or shop as it is central to most of the restaurants and attractions. Great walking trails throughout the city.

  Good Experience, Lousy Attention to Detail

  Generally speaking I enjoyed my short stay. The front desk staff was welcoming and eager to help. Restaurant was good enough, although pricing seemed to be on the higher side. Parking was convenient and free, and location was great. My upgraded junior suite was somewhat spacious, although I did find some amenities missing from my room, namely a coffee machine and an iron. My stay was short enough so I did not care or bring this up to the front desk.] The biggest let down I experienced was the attention to detail, or the lack thereof, from the housekeeping team. A few spots in the room were clearly not attended to, including beard trimmings in the sink that didnt belong to me. During COVID times I understand the focus has shifted, though I still would not call this ideal. That said, the lady that checked me out did listen to my concern, and I was happy with how my comments were handled. When I was writing up this review I was pretty certain that my experience with cleanliness must have been a one-off, but after seeing some similar complaints here on Tripadvisor, I would genuinely like to see some actions taken with housekeeping and attention to detail, because this was an otherwise great hotel by my standard.
