    Amazing location

I have been to many weddings but none were as beautiful as the one I recently attended at Fountainview Mansion. Perfect location in every way! Setting is perfect for outside wedding and reception. Rooms allow for perfect flow of buffets and cake. Wow....amazing in every way. Very pleased!

    Delightful getaway!

We traveled to Auburn, AL to visit family and stayed at that Fountainview Mansion. The mansion is stunning and the Holiday decorations just added to it's beauty. A beautiful and comfortable room was waiting for us. After a great night's sleep we were treated to a delicious breakfast for scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon, fresh buttermilk biscuits, French toast, coffee and juice. The feast was presented in the formal dining room under a huge crystal chandelier and a fire in the fireplace. Ms. English was gracious and a great hostess! We look forward to staying there again. Tried something new...glad we did!

My wife & I periodically visit Auburn for a night away as we're both graduates. We've always stayed in hotel rooms before, but I came across Fountainview on one of the hotel sites and was intrigued. After doing some research into it, I decided to book a night here and surprise my wife. She was thrilled when we pulled up & I let her know this was a B&B and we'd be staying for the night. Carley, who lives on site, was waiting for us at the door; this was after she had called to touch base earlier and confirm our arrival time. She gave us a tour of the house and showed us to our room. Apparently I did not choose the correct room...my wife liked on of the other ones better! As my wife's favorite room was available also, Carley let us switch to it. After settling in, we walked back downstairs to go to dinner. Fresh baked, warm chocolate chip cookies were waiting in the kitchen. Told Carley we were heading to dinner & she called the restaurant to make sure a table was available & waiting on us. Slept great that night & my wife loved having a large bathtub in our room. Breakfast was served in the morning at 9am and was excellent - French toast, bananas foster, fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, etc. We had a lazy morning after that. Hung out in the upstairs sitting area, as no other guests were around, and just talked and enjoyed the quiet time! We will definitely stay at Fountainview again & have already recommended it to a few friends. The only 2 drawbacks that I can recall are that it is somewhat challenging to find at first (although good directions were emailed to me, there is some road construction which made me second guess the correct route) and that we had a few ladybugs in the room.

    What a wonderful experience!

We decided to take the scenic route from Western NC to New Orleans and stopped at this delightful mansion on the way. Totally glad we did. The manager, Carley English, and her husband, Patrick, were great and helpful. Part way there, it occurred to me that they had stairs and we have difficulty navigating stairs, so I called Carley and she was able to accommodate us on the first floor. The mansion is beautifully laid out, very spacious and elegantly appointed with amazing antiques. Comfortable beds, great bathroom, and wonderful breakfast. Carley gave us a great recommendation for dinner at Amsterdam Cafe where we had a sumptuous dinner. All in all it was a very satisfying stay and I highly recommend it.

    Perfect Summer Retreat

What a wonderful departure from the same-old, same-old hotel experience! I was in Auburn for a weekend with my daughter for a sports camp. On our drive to AL, Carley called to confirm our arrival time and help with any last minute directions or requests. Upon arrival we found fresh hot, home made chocolate chip cookies and banana muffins under a glass cloche sitting on the granite counters in the kitchen. We were invited to make the mansion " your own home" for the weekend. Our room was particularly ample in size and we had easy access to a common formal living space and balcony on the same level as our room. Breakfast is served in the formal dining room under a sparkling glass chandelier. We felt like royalty dining on fine china with crystal goblets. Red Velvet French Toast and Blue Berry Waffles were just a few of the menu items. The property offers a pool, acres of landscaped grounds (so easy to take a morning walk) and it is located only 7min drive from Auburn Univ. Another bonus is the proximity to Chewacla State Park. I was able to take a fantastic hike while my child was at camp. I highly recommend Fountainview Mansion!! Rooms all located on 2nd level except the master suite (2000 SF) All rooms are corner and have ensuite baths. Difference is overllooking pool or entrance drive and the size of bed (king or queen) NOTE: The entrance to the property is through a new build subdivision so just keep driving until you start to wind up a treelined single lane paved road.
