  Lovely hotel with with great rooms

  The rooms have lovely facilities which were very welcome after a day on the boat coming up the Mekong River. The hotel had all the facilities we needed and I was lucky enough to get a room with fabulous river views. We were here on NYE and there was not much choice for restaurants for dinner so ate at the hotel. In our group meals were served randomly and we were told that they cooked when they had more than on order. That meant that one person ended up waiting 2 hours for their meal - everyone else had long finished. Based on my experience I would definitely stay there, but would not eat at the restaurant unless you are prepared for a potentially long wait!

  Great choice for staying in Chiang Khong

  My friends and I really liked the hotel and enjoyed our stay at the Fortune River View. It's relatively new hotel, rooms are nice, beds comfortable. Good bathroom and wonderful views of the Mekong river (balcony is a real plus). There are tea/coffee making facilities in the room, dressing gowns and slippers, safe, fridge, toiletries and two free bottles of water every day. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. WIFI signal is strong. Hotel is within walking distance to 7/11 supermarket and places to eat. Also there is a nice river walk (appr. 2 km) right behind the hotel. The only (minor) downside was the breakfast. It's a buffet, with limited and mostly boring choices, not exactly very tasty. There is definitely a space for improvement:-) Because of the breakfast we decided not to try the restaurant in the hotel for dinner. But all in all Fortune River View is a great choice for staying in Chiang Khong.

  Nice river Khong view with friendly staffs

  The hotel is located near the river Khong of Thailand. Across the river, Laos is seen. The room was good, The bed was perfect for sleep. The staffs were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was in average quality. There also a pool is a hotel, but we arrived at night so we did not used that pool. Bringing mosquito repellents is recommended, since there are a lot of mosquitoes when you sit near the river at evening and night.

  Great view! Bad food experience

  This is a clean and well-maintained hotel. The rooms are nice and well-equipped, the bed is comfortable, and the shower is more than adequate. The staff is friendly and can get by in English. What really stands out is the view. It was great to see the sun rise over the Mekong from my balcony. My only negative comment is that my dinner was surprisingly underwhelming. I ordered stir-fried chicken with cashew nuts. The chicken was breaded (odd) and utterly without any flavor at all. I didn't eat it. Settled for a pack of crackers from my suitcase! Other than this, highly recommended!

  A Very Dissapointing Nights Stay - We Expected MORE for the $$'s Paid!!! :(

  Room # A306 - 1 x Nights Stay Early Check In was Terrfic - Thanks.... All Staff interections were great.... Got to the Room and the Wife noticed Hairs on all of the Bedding - PLUS Human bodily fluid Stains... Reception got them changed quickly but the 1st Impression was of a Hotel NOT in control of procedures and no Management of Housemaids.... The room was renovated but now due for Renovation once again. The Toilet 'Wobbled' and the Shower Rail did not Lock the SHower Head at your desired height. Breakfast was very poor - not many choices of anything - we really expected more and would NOT return to this hotel. We will keep returning to our favourite hotel in Chiang Khong - Chiangkhong Teak Garden Hotel
