  Pet friendly, wonderful Hotel

  Wonderful place if you are traveling with a pet; it is our go to Hotel because of this whenever we are in Williamsburg. I keep hearing about an upcoming renovation. I would hope Wyndham would renovate sensitive to the era the Hotel was built (late 60's early 70's). Lobby and public areas are very nice. Landscaping just needs a little TLC to be spectacular Bathrooms are anachronastic, ie. small closeted bathing areas, open vanity. In any event, it is the best value in Williamsburg

  So close to Busch gardens and very clean!

  I am solely writing this review to sing raise to the front desk concierge Kenisha BUT, From the minute we walked in to the minute we walked out (she happen to be on shift at both times) she was so warm, professional, kind, and welcoming. She is very good at her job and deserves a raise. Now as far as the hotel, it was the most awesome stay I have had at an affordable hotel in a while. The hotel had a modern yet historic aesthetic, in addition to that it was very clean. Our room was clean and had plenty of towels the bed was comfortable. The room also had a mini fridge, I was even able to utilize the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi along with the 24hr fitness center. The hotel was also 7minutes away from Busch gardens, when we returned from the park there was a family movie playing on a projector screen in the comforting setting of the lobby! Lastly I would also like to add that I am a single mom and I only came with my son, I felt very safe and had safe access to the hotel! Will return for sure!

  The beds are sunken, the room temperature is cold, the water drainage is poor and the TVs are older models. The jacuzzi and pool area needs to be updated. The staff was kind and helpful. If I had to, I would only do a 1 night stay because of its convenient location.

  Unsafe Hotel-

  DO NOT STAY HERE ---IT IS NOT A SAFE HOTEL. I have waited for six months for someone from the hotel and Wyndham to contact me before writing this review after being told that someone would contact me. My 11 year old chihuahua was attacked by a pit bull IN OUR HOTEL ROOM. The owner and dog ENTERED through our closed and curtains drawn sliding glass doors. Since we hadn't used them, we assumed they were locked. There are no numbers on the outside of your room. We are very fortunate that our Bella survived after spending 5 days in CCU in Richmond. The front desk was useless in helping us find an emergency vet in Williamsburg. They charged us for the room And no the dog owner has never contacted us after several phone calls. 5000.00 in medical bills , Animal control was contacted and the hotel was not very friendly to them. Animal control had an appointment to speak to the dog owner and he left the hotel. Our court date has been postponed 2 times and haven't heard about a new date. We were on our way to the beach for vacation....it was the worst vacation ever!

  Pet Friendly Bargain

  Very nice, older but well maintained property very near historic area and Busch Gardens. Very friendly staff. Indoor heated pool and whirlpool. Pet friendly with reasonable pet fee. Near a variety of restaurants.
