  Nice hotel just 5 mins from the lake

  It's a nice 3 star + hotel with decent rooms and a small spa area. Comfortable rooms, and good breakfast. It's just a 5 mins walk down the little hill that it's on to the lake. However, one can't see the lake from here. Overall a nice place to stay when in wolfgansee

  Improvement necessary!

  Due to work I travel a lot and I stayed in many four and five star hotels - I am still wondering how this hotel got theirs! The building and the facilities are old and lack charme. The bathroom of my suite wasn't cleaned well and the wellness/spa area requires restoration. The quality of the food is solid, but for a 21century cuisine not innovative at all. My overall impression is, that the hotel got stuck in the 80's. The service was good, although I heard loud conflicts between the staff twice. The region itself is beautiful, I strongly recommend visiting it. BUT, do yourself a favor and stay at a different hotel, the Försterhof is not worth it's money.

  Stay on an Organised Holiday

  We stayed at this hotel in February of 2017 on an organised coach trip. Although it was obviously off season. It is a Summer resort and not a winter resort. The hotel and staff were very good. The accommodation was clean and tidy and very good. The food was very good. I can have no complaints. One funny thing though. The toilet did not stop running water after it had flushed. We reported it to reception and in due time a lady arrived with a spanner. She flushed the toilet and said " It is Good" and went to leave. No I said wait a moment and you will see that it does not stop. But she flushed it again. No I said wait a moment and you will see what I mean. She did. I expect her lack of English and my lack of Austrian was probably the case of the confusion. But it would have made a great sketch for Faulty Towers. Her with her spanner and me in my pajamas. But I would recommend this hotel to anyone and would stay there again.

  Nice bed, very cozy living room

  The bed is so nice that my friend screamed when sitting down! They prepared quilt in heart shape, also the room key. It would be romantic to come with the one you love. But it takes around 10 minutes from bus stop to reach, very quiet hotel. Breakfast is average. They will serve hot milk/ coffee when you arrived.

  Absolutely amazing.

  Had the most amazing experience in St Wolfgang, largely due to the Forsterhof hotel. Brilliant and friendly staff, our room (105) looked out onto the mountains and it was so relaxed and peaceful. Clean, tidy and a very peaceful atmosphere. Breakfast and dinner were both prepared and served in a manner youd see in the classiest of restraunts. The hotel sits in a very quiet location about 10 minutes walk from the centre of town so if you want a quiet retreat I would highly recommend this place. Special shootout to Sabine in reception who helped us with our time here and gave us great advice on what to do and see as we had never been here before. Everytime we had a small problem (which was rare) or needed something she assisted us without any hesitation and she did it all with a smile on her face. The waiting staff were so polite and professional and even though there was a slight language barrier at times they done their duties to the absolute finest and couldnt fault them at any point. On our arrival we were very late and missed dinner due to a delayed flight..they turned up to our room with drinks and a platter of food which we really appreciated as we hadn't eaten properly all day. The small private beach is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and you're provided with free sunbeds, umbrellas, towels and a very chilled time sitting by the lake. Thank you Forsterhof for having us and for making our trip here an even better experience than we could have hoped for. If we ever return, you will definitely be high on the list of places to stay again. From room 105 (July 13 - 20); Danke Schön!
