No regrets for booking this over and over againWe book this place out once every year along with 6 other families. Every single kid loves it and its the highlight of the year. The houses are open, nice and have a good vibe. The decks are great for adults to have wine and snacks and come with chairs that you often see down by the pool. Each house comes with a great barbecue and each little strip of housing has a big grass area in the centre. The pool is great for kids and has a shallow end. The small pool is rather rough on the bottom and you often com south with grazes so dont let your kids crawl around. We often get take away from the deli that is about 10 metres down the road. Its cheap and convenient and the food is really good for cheap deli food. There is a variety of things for kids to do but dont waste your money on the arcade. Its a total scam and most of the machines are out of order. Ive seen a few people here and there purchase a drink from the vending machine, only to find out that it is broken and reception tend to not do anything about it. The rooms are clean but DO NOT put small children in the top bunks. There is no ladder so you have to climb the back of the bed and the gaps between each rail are humongous. I recommend bring bikes/scooters as there are paths weaving around the area. You often see kangaroos that come quite close and the golf course is a great place to see some kangaroos (I recommend dawn or dusk). Overall I HIGHLY recommend this place as a holiday with family/s.

Not our best stay at FootprintsSetting is lovely and peaceful. Location great if youre city people meeting up with SW folks. We had a 2 hour wait in the cafe for Friday night dinner. Service was a bit chaotic. Our townhouse needed some tidying - the freezer had ice blocks strewn across the bottom, and some of the second drawer utensils werent useable. This is an annual meet up for us. Well do it again as the location suits, but wont eat at the cafe.

Resort cancelled our group booking (made 5 months ahead/deposit paid)Made a booking 5 months in advance for 5 chalets for a group holiday. Gave credit card details to secure the booking, as did all parties. Spoke on phone to resort, received written confirmation of our booking. Received email saying " Due to an ongoing contractual agreement we are unable to confirm your reservation. We regret not being able to confirm your booking, but we simply will not have the availability to accommodate you" We have forgone other accommodation options for our dates assuming we had this booked. Absolutely shameful conduct! Reading other reviews, the resort appears to do this regularly, accept deposit, send written confirmation and then cancel on guests. Is there a hotel association that regulates this sort of conduct?

Average stayWe are away with friends for a few days we were lucky to find something as its booked everywhere this time of year with covid as we cant travel overseas. So here we are at footprints first impression not happy apparently the place was cleaned dont think so the floor was dirty the stairs the same with a dead moth In the corner , we had no basic essentials like tea towel dishwashing liquid sponge etc had to go to reception and ask for it. Lighting outside on deck at night is poor cant cook on bbq and they arent that clean either... pool area needs a shade cloth so you can stay in the pool without getting sunburn the place needs a revamp its missing atmosphere..... Will I return not in this condition.

Just "NO"To say our experience at Footprints was poor is an understatement, starting with the sudden requirement for us to change our booking dates due to contractors requiring our "beach shack". This may sound familiar to other reviews about this property. We booked on the 6th of September through Booking.com. On the 8th we received confirmation from Footprints themselves. On the 12th October we received a reminder email confirming dates and asking for payment by 31st October which we did. 26th Nov we received an email from booking.com saying our dates were no longer available. A phone call to Footprints confirmed this situation due to contractors requiring accommodation. It is obvious that this is a common occurrence after reading other reviews. Luckily we were able to change our holiday plans (although very inconvenient) to accommodate the dates they could fit us in. A $100 dollar discount and cheap bottle of champagne on arrival was given to us for inconvenience. On arrival at Footprints on a very hot day we discovered one of the airconditioning units in our chalet was not working. I went to see reception about this issue but instead questioned a man in one of the "Resort's " club cars who I now believe was the manager of the place. When I told him the aircon wasn't working his reply was "Yeh " followed be silence. I then questioned what was being done about this and why we weren't advised at check in. He became extremely defensive and carried on about how so many other aircons weren't working and the fridge mechanic had been and gone without fixing anything. Reluctantly he did offer to find a portable unit to try and cool the place. By now we were questioning what we had got our selves into but decided we would try and make the best of a bad situation as we had traveled all the way from Albany for a break and finding any other accommodation at this late stage would be near impossible. The next day we received a letter on our table saying the main airconditioning unit could not be fixed and that basically we had to put up with the portable unit which was noisy and unable to cope during the heat of the day. THEN the sewage system started to play up. We noticed this going on for at least a day where water was being forced up through sump covers in the car parks. This was starting to cause issues with ouders making it so unpleasant to be on our balcony that we just locked ourselves inside. The issue came to a head when we could see that it was looking like untreated water flowing into car parks. Off to reception again to ask what was been done about it. The manager just winged about how bad things were going for him When I suggested that the owner's of the "Resort " should be advised of the situation this bloke went on a defensive rant asking me who I was to be questioning the running of the resort and the issues I was having. It took all my will power to walk out of that office without getting myself into serious trouble. Sewage issue fixed 2 days later. Long story short. DONT GO THERE.
