  Nada más que buena ubicación

  Bien ubicado y con estacionamiento sin cargo. La habitación era espaciosa pero oscura (daba a uno de los pasillos del hotel sin salida al exterior), poca iluminación y con una sola mesa de luz. La señal de wifi era mala, solamente era buena en el baño (!). El desayuno se sirvió en el restaurant que es precioso, pero fue poco variado y de regular calidad. Las recepcionistas daban el servicio estricto y sin mucha amabilidad. La ciudad es preciosa y vale la pena visitarla, pero salvo x la ubicación no recomendaría este hotel. El restaurante (comimos a la noche), en cambio, es bueno, tiene un precio adecuado y un camarero encantador y eficiente.

  Nice hotel and restaurant in the Gyor city center

  The rooms in the Fonte hotel are large and bright. Fonte serves a great breakfast! The view from my room on the 3rd floor was not very exciting unless one wants to make a study on roof tiles. The funniest part however is their elevator policy. From the reception you have to carry your bagage via stairs to the 1st floor. There you can take the elevator to the 2nd. floor. From there you have to carry your bagage again via stairs to the 3rd. floor. Still due to the nice rooms, the good food and fine atmosphere I can recommend Fonte Hotel.

  Second stay here

  I really like big rooms in Fonte hotel. But what I like even more are the breakfasts. Even the hotel was not really crowded on my last stay, the offer at breakfast was huge. All tasty and delicious. The only weakness was the reception on my both stays. On the first, the guy there didn't speak english. On the second it took plenty of time to get my bill with right name and company address.

  Shower design

  Who designed this shower where you get more wet after a shower than in it. Health safety hazard waiting. They ask you to save on towels but you need more to mop up. Other than this nice hotel raging in Hungary as a 4 star is not accurate as ratings are based on amenities and service. I would stop again for the parking but bring my wellies next time for the shower.

  Not the worst hotel in Gyor, but pretty mediocre

  If you want to stay in the old town area the Fonte is well-sited just off the square. One downside is noise from the nearby streets, especially late on Saturday night. There is a limited amount of free parking in a courtyard but if that's full you're paying for street parking or a spot in a parking structure. You should also note that the on-site restaurant seems permanently closed although a reasonable breakfast was included in the room rate. My room was an adequate size but the carpet and chairs were marked and the bed was lumpy and uncomfortable. The bathroom had recently been remodeled and was quite pleasant with a big walk-in shower. However, they hadn't got around to fitting a bracket to hold the shower head. That left me showering one-handed while holding the shower head above me. Not easy, and of course, I sprayed water all around the bathroom. My other complaint was with the cleaning. This was haphazard: some days the bed was made and I got fresh towels, other days it wasn't visited at all. And when it was, cleaning would be too strong of a word to use. In short, I've stayed in worse in Gyor but I don't think I'll be back here again.
