Spa & Wellness, Gourmet, an Authentic Bucket List DestinationWhat a wonderful destination experience. We booked on an arrangement over the internet for one night stay, on half board, including two day use of their Thermen, sauna land, Spa and Wellness. Our experience overtook our expectation, in one word.....Awesome. They feature large outdoor pools in salty warm waters pumped up out of a well 600 meters below the earth. So good for the health, body, soul and mind. All pools are featured with jet sprays. In the same area one has a wet hot steam bath and plenty of grass land with deck chairs. In the sauna land, one has to be unclothed, features many indoor and outdoor saunas, steam bathes, salty pool with jet sprays and plenty of resting areas in a beautiful surroundings. The room is nice, just renovated, good bed, bathroom with shower. Only observation please add more lights in the bathroom. One is offered bathrobes, good size towels and can walk direct from the room to the thermen. We had our dinner in their main dining room. The service is great and food is definitely on gourmet standard. Well prepared with the finest and freshest products. A real treat. We had lunch one of their restaurant in the sauna land. Likewise service and food on the highest standard. Breakfast (you can come in your bathrobe) with many fresh products, so delicious. WiFi is free, parking too. Overall a wonderful experience and recommended to any foodie and spa person.

Beautiful spacious SpaTotal relax, very friendly staff and a great variety of saunas, pools, steam baths and body and beauty treatments. Look for the time schedule to experience extras. The staff then adds oils, body srubs etcetera while being in a sauna or bath. Enough variation to spend a few days. Classy restaurant. Feeling refreshed and healthy now and will return for sure!

A truly relaxing tripI can recommend this spa wholeheartedly! I visited the spa together with a friend and we stayed for one night in the hotel. You can walk from your hotel room in your bathroom to the spa, which I personally find a must have for a spa visit. The food was excellent, both in the bubbles brasserie and the waters of the world restaurant. There is a nice selection of Sauna's, pools and relaxing rooms. I personally loved the 'lavender ritual' I attended. The only thing that wasn't perfect is that to get to the spa, you have to go through the 'swimming pool area', which was a bit confusing for us (we at first didn't know where to go).

Just reopened after Covid 19 lockdownThis hotel re-opened on Friday 15th May, after being shut down to as part of the Covid 19 measures in the Netherlands. Currently the restaurant and salt water pool are only open to hotel guests. Since this part of the Netherlands has suffered very little from the virus, we decided to book a room for their first night. When we stayed there were only 4 guests in total, although the next night they expected 16. As always the staff were very friendly and efficient. Dinner in the Waters of The World restaurant was limited to fixed menu, but as well prepared as ever. We aren't very keen on sweets dishes, so they swapped a cheese plate for the desert. The organisation in the restaurant to meet the Covid 19 restrictions was exemplary. Many tables had been removed. The remaining tables were all suitable for 4 people, with only two dinners actually seated on them. The waiter could then serve from the empty end, thus obeying the 1.5m distance rule current in the Netherlands. Of the extensive thermals baths and saunas, only the large salt water bath is currently open. But this was a very special experience as we had this huge pool to ourselves on both occasions we used it. Almost certainly the first and last time that this has happened. So a really relaxing stay and well deserving the 5* ranking I give it. I never felt under any risk since the bio-security was so well organised. If this is the "New Normal", I can live with. However, it will be hard for restaurants to make money with their capacity reduced by about 2/3rds.

relaxing but sauna menu could be better.I have stayed here several times before, and I must say that I am sad that the previous menu of the saunalodge and the brasserie is gone. Currently it basically has only one option for vegetarians: goat cheese sandwich and goat cheese salad (which also means it has no option for vegans...). Previously there were many more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu. Having said that, this place has many wonderful pools (including the new outside thermal bath that has a lovely view on the park and nice jacuzzi). Most of the new saunas have a bit too much music and lights. I prefer the old saunas that are just sauna. They offer some aroma ceremonies in this corona time, which I think is a good solution (but the music/sound is not necessary and actually distracting). The steam baths are lovely, and there are sufficiently many different ways to cool off and nice places to rest. They take care of social distancing by limiting the number of people in the pool by having you put your slippers in one of the available boxes--and wait if all boxes are full. The hotel is still very nice and the restaurant in the hotel is wonderful (although I am sad the water menu has disappeared and the choice options for the package that includes dinner). Breakfast is still a buffer but with choices limited to foods that are protected and clear walking directions and signups to ensure there are not too many people at the same time. Overall I'd say still a relaxing place to be--especially during the pandemic. If they could improve the menu and especially add more vegan options that would make it even better!
