  Quiet, clean with excellent breaky!

  The room we had was clean, well-equipped with the basic necessities, very spacious (good high ceilings) & actually had 3 proper beds (not a stretcher bed) as a "triple" room. The hotel is located near a farm so it's not in the heart of Nasu, but quiet!! The breakfast was first class, with a fairly good choice of western & Japanese (but no miso soup) food. They serve tea or coffee and bring your choice of eggs to the table, too (which is not standard service in most of the hotels here)! The fruit served was very fresh and the snags (aka sausages) were yummy! Unfortunately, the dinner (at the nearby so-called Italian restaurant) was not good at all (definitely recommend eating out). The atmosphere was nothing special and way too dark (so you can't see the food possibly?!?) to be enjoyable. The inside bath was huge, clean & rather deep - the onsen (hot spring) water was quite hot compared to others but, wonderful for soaking in - some like it "hot" (which is exactly how I prefer it). The outside bath (careful going down the stairs) was just as huge but, not as hot as inside. There's a place beside the bath to sit & cool off too. Overall, it was reasonably priced with an early check-in and late check-out deal. We will definitely stay again, when in Nasu.

  Mixed Bag Hotel

  The good 1 - Just next to a farm and you can visit it too 2 - Very peaceful location 3 - Rooms are large, clean and decent 4 - Great onsen (public bath) The bad 1- Location is atrocious. Dont even book this place if you dont have a car equipped with a GPS. It's way out of the way. 2 - Creepy. Hotel is practically deserted. I only saw one employee throughout entire stay - the guy at the front desk. They didnt even have a bellhop to help with the bags. We would stay at another place next time.
