    An Excellent Adventure for All!

You can learn so much during your stay at Flint Hill Farm. Kathy and her hard working farm hands make you feel right at home. This is a unique hands on learning environment. Met the animals and learn what the farmers do on a day to day basis. Great for everyone! Even those with children. The staff at Flint Hill Farm are helpful and kind. I can't wait to come back to learn to make cheese, and other great classes like this. Our 2 toddlers loved feeding the goats and chickens during our stay. Clark Family

    Farm Stay

Our family of seven recently stayed in our RV on the farm for more than a few weeks. Kathy (the farm owner/manager) welcomed us, making us feel welcomed and at home. Our kids (16, 14, 12, 10, and 8) were introduced to the animals and quickly became immersed into the farm life and daily chores. It was perfect! They spent their time feeding the chickens, goats, and other animals and they were thrilled to groom the pony, miniature horse and Belgian horses during our stay. The daily hunt for and collecting of eggs was a rewarding experience! Although we did not stay in the farm house, we did spend time in the farm kitchen and had opportunity to see the authentic farm stay rooms and private balconies. The horse and farm camps were really enjoyable during the summer! The farm is located on a hill between Hellertown and Coopersburg PA. Both towns are within 10 minutes of the farm. Note to fellow RV'rs; the hill from the Hellertown/Interstate 78 is an 8% grade climb. Coming in from 309 in Coopersburg is an easier climb. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Flint Hill Farm, and look forward to many future returns!

    Wonderful hands-on farm stay!

My wife, our 3 young children and my parents had the pleasure of staying here kast week. We arrived Friday night. We were warmly greeted by a farm hand and two lovely dogs! We were directed to the house where we met Kathy, our hostess and owner. She welcomed us, gave us the tour of the house and showed us where to put our belongings. She gave us a few dinner recommendations at nearby restaurants. When we returned, she had a chimnea setup to make a fire. The kids made s'mores with mom mom and pop pop and we chased fire flies and watched the bats overhead. Awesome! We walked over to the barn just in time to see the milking of a cow, up close! My kids loved it and we all asked many questions to the friendly farm hand. After a solid night of sleep, we woke at 6 am to get out to barn to see Sam milking the goats. My kids, even my 20 month old son, was able to participate by putting feed in their troughs while the goats were being milked. It was awesome! After that, we met Tina and she spent over 3 hours with us. She was knowledgeable and hysterical. My kids were carrying feed buckets and walking the ponies and donkey to their pens. Then, we went to the hen house and duck pen to pick eggs. My kids are 6, 3 and 20 months and each of them was gathering eggs in their own buckets. They were ecstatic and so were we watching them. We returned to the house to find a wonderful breakfast with omelettes, pancakes, delicious breads and of course, countless dairy products fresh from the farm. We had cream for our coffee, a bowl of butter(for everything), a cheese plate, milk, yogurt(with fresh fruit), cream cheese and a chevre with sage - out of this world! There was juice, real maple syrup, caramelized onions - just a wonderful meal, all served at a long table in a beautifully appointed dining room. After the food coma I subjected myself to, we walked the grounds where we found two bee keepers boxes, a big swing, a frog pond, lots of cool flowers and a hammock in the shade! After a relaxing morning, we loaded up on dairy products from the on-site dairy store. We picked out some unique goat and cow milk cheeses, cream, and our eggs we picked earlier that morning. We hugged our new friends goodbye and headed off the lovely Flint Hill Farm. We are already looking at dates in the Fall for our return.
