  DEFINITELY TO AVOID

  I would DEFINITELY not recommend this hotel. The hotel is gigantic, absolutely not charming, which contrasts with the islandThe rooms are not comfortable (I booked a triple-room apartment), this is not what I expected from a 4 stars hotel, and for this price. 1- Firstly, there was only one small window in the bedroom, so you could not see outside. 2- Also, my back started to hurt me in the morning: mattresses are very thin. 3- There are only two towels for four persons. 4- Moreover, it is not a double bed (as expected), but two single beds linked together. The hotel did not provide us for a sponge/soap, and some lights were not working. The hot water was working very badly. All the pans and utensils of the kitchen were dirty, so we had to clean everything before using it not really what I expected for my weekend. Apart from the swimming pool, everything is an extra (10/hour for the sauna for instance). In the morning, we wanted to get the breakfast (closes at 10:30, so you must wake up early). The quality was very disappointing. The hard-boiled eggs from the morning before become scrambled eggs the next day. The taste is also terrible. The fruit salad is frozen, and some of the packaged cookies they offer at the breakfast buffet are expired. One of my friends felt very bad after this breakfast. Finally, after breakfast and before leaving the hotel, we wanted to go one last time in the swimming pool. After five minutes swimming, the woman of the reception came to us saying that we passed the checkout deadline which was at 10am, so that we need to pay 15 more. She only came after the checkout deadline was passed! We wanted to speak to the manager about all the bad experiences we had, but he was not here. She was the only staff of this big hotel. And for information, if you do the checkout after 1pm, you need to pay 45 It is shown at the entrance, in Dutch, in a panel that says lazy day. If you dont speak Dutch, as we dont, then there is no way for you to know. Spending one night in this hotel was more than enough. Avoid going there if you want to relax.

  Terrible

  I wish I had read the reviews before booking! It reminds me of something from the 70's and it smells which is the worst part. The breakfast was dire and they didn't even have a toaster!!! The staff is nice but that's about it. Frankly for what you're getting its a rip off and just not worth it!

  Musty and Dusty

  The hotel is nicely located and has big rooms but our room at least was very musty and full of dust and even though none of us is allergic to dust and we slept with our windows open we all woke up with stuffed noses and itchy eyes.

  Nice stay

  The hotel had what we were looking for : the best location not far from the centre, nice hotel restaurant for dinner, very good breakfast, next to a nice golf course. Our apartment was clean, but the bed was too soft. The down side of this 2 story apartment was the bathroom/toilet was upstairs.

  Excellent value, great location

  On the edge of Hollum, close to nature and to the village centre. Spacious rooms; we had a 4-person apartment (3 rooms), breakfast included, for a price most other hotels would not even offer their smallest suite. Nice pool (even during Corona 'self-restricted', no reservations needed, BYO room towel). Decent breakfast, first day service was a bit slow and patchy but after asking 2nd time they delivered 100%. Great terrace too, friendly staff.
