Very nice accommodationWe had a short stay here for a couple of days. Very polite and helpful staf. Excellent breakfast with a lot of choice. The bread was very fresh, especially the croissants. The room was clean and nice with a balcony and view at the garden. The only improvement which can be made is the shower, which was leaking. Overall very good.

Overall poor .....Just back from a few nights stay at this hotel and considering were now post Corona phase with new restrictions, it was a different experience and not a great one. Location of the hotel is perfect. Just a few minutes walk down a steep hill into the centre of Beek and beautiful nature walks right in front of the hotel. The inside of the hotel is floor marked with all types of stickers and arrows to help manage the social distancing. Our room was a big and spacious with a balcony but with extreme warm weather, what we missed was air-conditioning and a fridge in the room. Also missed was the usual body lotions and creams you would normally get in a bathroom. The swimming pool had to be reserved in advance and while it is small, its very old and out-dated. The pool railing was rusty and greasy to touch and the pool floor was held together with plastic patching. The Beauty and Massage is a big rip-off. They advertise a 45 minute pedicure for 32.50. For that and to have my hand nails filed and shaped, I was charged 42.50 and out within 35 minutes. For breakfast and dinner, we had to reserve a table in advance. I can understand its to manage how many people are in the room at any given time but the idea of vacation is to relax and not to be setting alarms and looking at your watch to see if were on time for reservations so I didnt like this aspect at all. With breakfast, there is no buffet anymore. You have a choice of an English breakfast, a Continental breakfast (which some mornings they called a Holland breakfast) or a Healthy breakfast. What was amusing was to hear the poor waitress call out the contents of each breakfast to every table every morning. Surely some sort of a menu card on each table would have saved them all this hassle. Most mornings, all I wanted was bread and I told the waiter this but they still insisted on bringing out a full plate of cheese, meats and eggs which was a shame to see so much food going to waste. I noticed this waste on many other tables so I wasnt the only one. For evening dinner, when we had the waiter Martijn, everything went superb. The guy was so friendly, helpful and always smiling. When we didnt have Martijn, the service was slow having to throw arms all over the place with the hope of catching a waiters attention to ask where are the drinks we ordered 20 minutes ago. Another huge irritation was that we were on a 3 course evening meal package. While the food was excellent, there were some items on the menu that had an extra surcharge. One evening, I did not have the appetite for a starter. I asked for the rib-eye steak which had a 3.50 extra surcharge and I asked that they drop the surcharge considering I wasnt having a starter. A typical starter was average 10.00 so they were already making a savings because I was not having a starter. The waiter called for the restaurant manager who told us this was not possible because the surcharge was on the meat and not the starter. The most ridiculous excuse Ive ever heard. Overall not a great experience at this hotel.

Very disappointing, not worth 3 let alone 4 stars.Very dated, old, dirty. No comfort. Broken water, etc, etc. Hotel was bought from Golden Tulip in 2004 and no maintenance or renovation has been done since. Personnel is very nice and understanding and changed our booking to another hotel. Unfortunately send to be standard practice of Fletcher hotels. They only want to squeeze every vervroegd out of their hotels while not carrying about any maintenance or quality. I feel sad for its personal who really care but get no opportunity to give customers a great stay.

Convenient location for N70 walksThe staff was welcoming and very helpful. The new COVID rules were efficiently applied. Very clear instructions. The open bar and restaurant was a real bonus. The shower was very weak, but otherwise our stay was satisfactory.
