    Very friendly

The Staff - Very friendly, very helpful and courteous. The Food- Only had breakfast and a couple of snacks, but found good choice and always very hot, especially the snack restaurant around the swimming pool. Drinks- Very good selection of European and Greek. Prices around 10euro for a large beer and Vodka/coke. The Area.- Approx 10/15 mins into town. If it rains, can be little muddy, while you can walk down main road, be aware of fast traffic. As with most of Greece, when you get away from town, street lighting gets little dim. A taxi will charge you 5 euro from town to hotel. Worth it. The Hotel- Beautiful place, approx 70 rooms. Great little spa. More up market than a lot of Greek places, but not 5 star luxury. Nice clean swimming pool and pool area to sunbathe. Your room is good size, with kettle etc, no milk, good size bathrom inc shower. Safe in wardrobe, ask for key at reception. Apart from bed, two large settees and coffee table. Nice balcony with table and chairs. We stayed in block 5 and while over looked pool area, the front was near to main road and could be little noisy first thing, but did get used to it. NOTE- Al blocks are 3 floors and there is NO LIFTS if you have a problem walking or with steps. Only lift is where the slightly more expensive rooms are in the main block/area. Overall, great place and staff.

    2 weeks visit 12th to 26th September 2019

Hotel is spotless ,rooms cleaned daily, food good but same each week, staff really good and nice pool. Hotel lacks atmosphere as nothing happens there day or night. One Greek night in our two week stay. No shop on site, bar prices really expensive 10 euro for a cocktail ,3.5 euro for small bear.( no draught beer). Too far from anywhere about 700 yards to centre of Pefkorhori a long way when carrying water etc in the heat. Had to go out due to lack of entertainment and cost of drinks, spent a lot on taxis to get back at night. One week would have been enough.

    Great stay

My partner and I stayed here for 10 days and had a lovely time at flegra palace. Rooms were a good size and have a kettle and fridge. Bathroom had a decent shower only thing is there was no plug for the bath. Breakfast had a good choice of cooked items and fruit and yoghurt. The food in the ambrosia restaurant was really good. The burgers and chicken slouvaki were lovely. All the staff were lovely especially aurora who gave us food and cocktail suggestions to try. Only a 10-15 minute walk to the town where there are lots of lovely restaurants and bars to choose from. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

    Quiet Holiday

We have just come back from having 10 days at Flegra Palace. The hotel is very clean, towels and bedding changed daily and all areas of the site spotless. The meals are good but a bit of a muchness, the same thing seem to come around again quite often. There is not much atmosphere as there is not a lot going on onsite, nowhere to buy anything at all. The bar over the pool is great but not very good when it rains and there is no other bar to socialise. The bathroom lets it down, there was no shelf at all so nowhere for toiletries etc. and the basin tap with a `pop up`waste was and shower head were a disgrace. We did complain about the waste but it was not rectified, we had to work it manually under the basin. There is a VERY busy road to cross to get to the beach.

    Palace it is not

Stayed for two weeks 10th - 24th September arrived just after midnight small boutique style hotel. First impression our room was small, tea making facilities a kettle, polystyrene cups, camomile teabags and no milk. One open fronted wardrobe with 6 hangers between two people, no drawers whatsoever so had to live out of our suitcases. No bedside cabinets but a small shelf either side of the bed half filled up with huge bedside lamps and on my my side hotel telephone, not leaving much room for my book, glass of water and phone. My suggestion wall lights would be an improvement. Breakfast ok but same everyday, tinned fruit and not much fresh fruit. Breakfast teabags available first couple of mornings, day 3 my husband and another guest had to ask waiter the who produced two, my husband asked for another one and was told one per person he said what about my wife he was reluctantly given another one. We did mention this to out Jet 2 rep who said she would have a word. Tried a couple of beach bars at lunch time one was expensive the other good but very little choice. The hotel snack bar food good and not too expensive but here again we experienced rationing. Not a problem if the very chatty smiley waitress served you, but the waiter I dont think he could smile. He gave us mayonnaise sachets for a couple of days then brought out out a little dish of seafood sauce. When we paid the bill my husband pointed out this was not mayonnaise he said it was for seafood which we did not have. He went to the basket and showed us a sachet of mayonnaise he said he hadnt brought that because he only had one. This is either Fawlty Towers or Greek logic Im not sure which. They sold nice ice creams at the pool bar which ran we thought thats it approaching thee d of the season they wont replace that but towards the end of our stay they did. Unfortunately that left us a bit stuck at lunchtime as a good 15 minute walk to Plefkori, I cant walk too far and the buses were few and far between as end of season although still a month to go at that point. We did taxi in the evening where there was plenty of choice of fish restaurants and Greek tavernas. The swimming pool has a steep step in for people with mobility issues and no handrails whatsoever. The sunbeds are very comfortable although very stained and they are not put away at night so if it rains they cannot be used at night. Likewise there is not a waterproof canopy over pool bar seating putting that completely out of action. We had 2 days of rain and be warned there is absolutely nothing to do. It rained on our last day which was a shame as we had a late night flight and not being picked up until 17 45 so all we could do was sit around and wait. Without too much effort and a little though this hotel could be improved. The reception staff were lovely and very helpful and we could not fault the cleanliness of the rooms. I do not think it is too much to expect breakfast tea bags and mayonnaise after all we did pay for this holiday it wasnt given to us. However I would not recommend this hotel and we will not return. Avanti Paphos, Cyprus we will be back
