A cordial welcome in rural TasmaniaThis B&B was an old 19th century stagecoach stop. The heritage aspect is reflected in the decor of the rooms. Breakfasts (continental, included in room charge) and dinners (extra) are served in the dining room. The home-style dinners are a welcome alternative to the heavy meals at the local pub. (If you think you'll want an evening meal, indicate this when booking. Fitzpatrick's is a popular venue for wedding receptions.)' The bathrooms have good, modern facilities. The quality of the welcome offered by the proprietor, Pam, encourages frequent repeat visits.

No Wonder This Place Is Up For SaleNo wonder this place is up for sale, never have we met such a rude host, this woman, we're assuming is the host/owner. Never have we met someone so rude for no reason what so ever. We shall take our tourist money elsewhere, thank you very much!

Best place in Tassie when you are attending the Craft FairWe stayed at Fitzpatrick's Inn for two nights while attending the Deloraine Craft Fair. This is the second year we have stayed there for the craft Fair and it lived up to all expectations. The food is great, the beds comfortable and it especially caters for someone with limited mobility like my friend from Queensland who has a room with grab rails in the shower and toilet area. We enjoyed two delicious meals with dessert. Pam Swain is a fine cook and great Host. I would thoroughly recommend the Inn while you can as it is up for sale. Deloraine is only 5 minutes away so it's a great place to stay full of history and interesting buildings.

Dusty and OverpricedStayed on night with my mum at the Inn. On first glance on the outside the main building looks lovely and historic and the garden is lovely these are the positives. The room was very run down and basic. We had to open the front and garden doors to let air flow through the room as it was stale and musty inside. The room is very daggy and we both gave each other a glance of oh no when we went inside. The very small TV is up so high on a shelf you have to strain to see it. The internet...now I specially asked re the internet...was given the password and it didnt even come up was so weak so had to use my own phone to go online. The single beds were shocking, they creak really really loudly at every movement and the sheets and covering were also dusty. The shower did have a good stream of hot water that was ok. For breakfast it was continental but very basic bread, jam, honey (the honey had started to crystallise as who know how long it was out for), the sugar jar was basically empty, sultana brand and yoghurt and tin peaches (which I did not touch). On their website they have the tariff of $110 a night yet we paid $130? Definitely not worth the money. Was the only downfall to our trip of 10 nights around Tasmania where our other accommodation was all much nicer. Avoid!

DilapidatedLooked good on the net - but that is where the good stopped. The property needs a good clean, a good tidy up including replacing rotten weatherboards. The room prices are commensurate with well appointed apartment style accommodation, but that is where the similarity stops. If you want to stay in a manger, this is the place, if you are looking for clean well appointed accommodation keep on driving. Sadly we stayed, and paid, and paid dearly. Without going in to too much detail, this is one place to avoid. Wished we had read the other reviews, we would not have booked.
