  Hockey vacation

  I thought it was a little pricey although I enjoyed view of Lake Superior and all activity on and near Lake Superior including night fishing (foolish rascals) and joggers in the early morning. I dont know what else to write.....

  Fitger's Historic Hotel

  Top Notch Hotel - Do you like to be treated really really well by staff? The Service is off the charts It is like stepping back in time with gorgeous, clean rooms and places to shop, eat and drink within the Fitger's Complex - Stunning views of Lake Superior. Directly on the Lakewalk One block walk to more excellent food - Sir Benedicts and Va Bene!

  Disappointed

  Todd was awful to work with. There was no lighting in the shower. The room was different than the picture online, it was missing an entire 4 person table. The walls are extremely thin. We fell asleep to the neighbors loud music and woke up to unpleasant noises.

  Loved our Stay!

  There is so much to love about Fitgers Inn: 1. Location is superb- walkable to so many places along the Lakewalk or Superior Street. Plus it is nice to have the shopping and dining right in the complex too! 2. The atmosphere is just so cool- the history and architecture is awesome! The room was beautiful, the bed very comfortable, and it was quiet! 3. Service is top notch from the valet, to bell hop, to front desk, to room service, to cleaning staff...great people! 4. The view of the lake is just so beautiful. The sunrise over the lake was a wonderful way to wake up!

  Special Occasion/Romantic Getaway favorite no matter the season

  We found this "boutique" hotel to be a special & comfortable place to stay & hang out at, that is not a typical chain hotel facility & location. The indoor eating/shopping & hang out options that are in the same facility as the hotel are nice when the weather isn't the greatest. Great food & drinking choices that are are reasonably priced. Plus the hotel gives you coupons to make it a better deal to take advantage of these places. Opt to get a suite if you stay for more than 2 nights, especially one with a fire place & hot tub on a winter's stay. Suite comes with a coffee maker, refrigerator & nice seating area, but microwave requests are on a first come serve basis. Winter time, the city view is fine, but in the nicer weather, opt for the lake side to enjoy the view from the balcony. Other guests can be noisy, just like at any hotel when it comes to sleep quality, but the bed & linens were higher quality that most hotels offer to promote a better sleep. Walking on the scenic & historic trail along Lake Superior from the hotel add to the whole experience. No need to drive anywhere. Valet parking & luggage handling to your room is included, but do tip well: these folks work hard at what they do to help make your stay comfortable & enjoyable.
