Lovely break
Firstly don't listen to all the negative comments.. We stayed a week end off September and would come back again.. Good points are... 15 minutes walk into main town/night life. Free bus from hotel to beach and town several times a day and back. Very clean hotel. 95% brittish guests so even at 9.30am still loads of sunbeds. 2 pools both with bars.. Food very good but limited selection but plenty full.. Restaurant staff excellent. Bad points... Spirits are rubbish. Vodka and coke simply tastes like rum and coke etc.. 4euro for can of Guinness when spar shop 10 minutes walk sells for 1.5 euros.. Air conditioning extra charge for 24/7 use.. Safe 3 euros a day and not returnable (shocking) 40euros to keep room on for 5 hours on last day.. - shocking as that doesn't do hotel any favours to guests.. 20 euros would off been nice and appreciated. Charged 3 euros a day bedroom tax when we thought should off been 2 euros.. Over all a lovely relaxing break and we would go back in future.. I'd say a good 3 star hotel but not 4 star as yet.. Air con, safe and price for room on last day doesn't help.

1st trip to Zante
1st time in Zante I chose the Filoxenia as slightly out of the town we were the Filoxenia 2 part of hotel was very peaceful the staff were amazing very friendly and helpful the ladies on reception were very efficient the restaurant was very clean and offered a good range of food we had a great stay and we will return

Really enjoyable stay
Booked this trip as a spur of the moment break and very pleased we did. The hotel is situated on the outskirts of Tsilivi away from the hustle and bustle but just a fifteen minute level walk to the beach. There is a regular hotel shuttle bus going there too. Our welcome at arrival was good with a welcome drink and our room spacious and very clean. The excellent maids serviced the room daily changing the towels and leaving the place spotless. We had a couple of very heavy storms during our stay but all the staff worked diligently to ensure the safety of guests on the slippery services. All the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly but respectful. Well trained. The food in the restaurant was of a high standard and we enjoyed it. Theres not an abundance of choice but its impossible to fault the taste or quality. Now a word about the drinks included with the all inclusive package - other reviewers have commented about them as well - the local spirits are just that, local, so dont expect the quality of the premium brands. The whisky and coke light was passable as was the wine (just)! A coke light on its own however was nothing like the real thing. Zante is a lovely island and we were pleased to have hired a car so that we could explore. I would strongly recommend doing that as we discovered many picture postcard gems. The big test for me is whether I would return to a place. I would certainly return to Zante and I would not hesitate to return to the Floxenia. You get what you pay for And its delivered well. Thank you to all the management and staff as I know that good service has to be worked on constantly. Well done.

Average all inclusive
This is a decent enough hotel. Rooms are nice (if a bit paper thin, we could hear conversations and music from both sides),we couldnt have our window open at night because of noise from road, plus gunshots from local farm early in mornings, and cockerels making a racket from 2am! We got 2 double beds, kitchenette, shower, bath, tv. Pools are nice but not heated. Main bar serves local drinks only. No cocktails etc. Food was bland and not much choice. Found ourselves eating out on a few occasions as there was nothing we liked. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Aircon is 6 a day! It's a cheap hotel and you wouldn't expect it to be anything else. Oh and it's about 25-30 min walk into town/beach. Probably wouldnt go back, not because it's a bad hotel, but because there are others at the same price nearer to town.

Short break.
Lovely hotel rooms, nice clean swimming pool, baby pool, all the staff very friendly bar staff exceptional. The only downside to this hotel is the food, just looked thrown together sometimes, main meal selection average, Not a great choice looked unappetising, desserts were beautiful and breakfast ok. Overall a good staff, but tended to eat out in the evenings due to the food quality. Wi fi not good.
