  Very comfortable

  I was looking for somewhere south of Basingstoke for just a bed whilst attending a local kite event. The local well known chain hotel was incredibly expensive and Fernbank was half the price. Quite happy to give price without breakfast and will discuss on the phone. The room was perfect and maintained to a very high status. I shall hopefully be back next year. Only complaint was the flow rate of the hot water in the hand basin but shower was fine.

  Excellent small hotel in a great location ....

  This was my second visit to the Fernbank Hotel, and it certainly won't be the last! As before my room was clean and well presented, with a lovely shower and a comfortable bed. Parking is free and the area is pleasant, with just a short walk to the centre of Basingstoke. I felt very welcome here, and the breakfast was fantastic! Highly recommended.

  Great Hotel, Great Hosts and Good Breakfasts

  I stayed here for 2 nights for work purposes. I was on a course in the local area. The hotel is set in a great location close to the town centre. It is a small hotel with a modern approach. The room was a decent size and the bed was comfy which is key. The breakfast was to a good standard and set me up well for the day. I had a request for a sheet rather then a duvet because of the weather and this was swiftly carried out. With the hotel being small the hosts made a personal approach and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. The car park is a good size, the reception isnt 24:7 because of the size and the hotels run by Ian And his wife. But as long as you tell them before 10pm or at breakfast then they will do anything they can to help.

  A gem of a hotel

  Spotlessly clean, breakfasts cooked to order, a welcoming host - what more could you ask for? This hotel is in a quiet location within easy walking distance of the town centre; shopping, restaurants and public transport links. Rooms are well decorated and furnished with none of the flat pack type furniture you get in some chain hotels. Definitely a place I would go back to whenever I'm in the Basingstoke area.

  Weekend with family

  What a wonderful gem of a hotel, quiet and peaceful. Warm and comfortable with an excellent choice for breakfast, continental, cereals and a full English. Made to feel extremely welcome. Modern rooms and a comfortable bed.
