  Far beyond expectations

  We stayed 1 night in the Sleep Inn Varginha for business purposes. I was really expecting a terrible hotel, but was positively surprised. The people were very nice, the guy at the reception even spoke fluently English. My room was located on the 1st floor, towards the hotel swimming pool, and was very ok. Functional work space with reliable and cost-free wifi, a comfortable bed and an acceptable shower. The airconditioning system was working well, just a bit loud. Everything seemed to be clean and well maintained. Don't expect international standards or comfort, but for an hotel in a rural area and in this price class, we paid 62 per night incl. breakfast, it was really perfect. The breakfast was simple though, but it was more than ok. Taking into consideration the hotel class, the rural location and the low price, I think 4 stars are deserved.

  Good place to stay in Varginha

  I stayed here on business recently. The entire staff were very friendly, rooms comfortable for a Motel, nice swimming pool with plenty of sunbathing potential. The Breakfast is limited but of good quality (Fresh Fruit, fresh juices, scrambled eggs, and the every present Brazilian cheese balls!). The rooms are remarkably quiet for a Motel style place. One thing - none of the staff speak English, but they will work through things with sign language & gestures, without any of the "Why can't you speak our language?" attitude you sometimes get from some Hotels! We looked at several Hotels in Varginha, and though some had nice reception areas, all the actual rooms were old and not terribly clean (Rusting window frames, showers that did not look very hygienic). This was the one place that was clean & modern.

  Convenient location, friendly, great value

  This modest hotel is on the main road into Varginha. The rooms were clean with small air conditioners that were quiet and stayed on consistently to provide nice sleep inducing white noise. The small fridge in the room was stocked with inexpensive local beer. The food provided by the hotel was above expectations - the breakfast spread was great: fresh and nice variety. Dinner could be ordered from a menu and the soup I ordered had lots of vegetables and chicken. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and put up with my lack or Portuguese. My only minor complaint is that the work-out room was not usable the equipment was all disabled and the room full of furniture and boxes. I went for a walk instead of working out for a little exercise and was almost hit by fast driving semi on the busy road in front of the hotel. Also, the mosquitos attacked while outside just around sunset, but left me alone while I was in the hotel.

  Is OK for the options available in a little town

  Good location and access, with good parking space. Rooms are comfy, with not very fancy bathroom. Breakfast is OK. The service is very good and polite. I didn't go to the pool area or gym (not sure if available the gym).

  Easy stay - we repeated our stay on the way back

  Hotel: Easy to find, great option for those on the road. It is at the very entrance of the city. Room: clean, large, and great for road stop. Breakfast: Simple, with a great variety of juice and salt muchies. Cheese bread fantastic. Room Service: very good. food had real taste. We had dinner at the hotel both time of our stay. It is a simple hotel with no luxury, but clean, and hotel personnel very friendly. We felt confident enough to stay at it again on our way back to Campinas. We used on our way to World Cup game in Belo Horizonte and we had friends and their 3 year old boy. All of us experienced travelers and very satisfied with Sleep inn.
