  Muy lindo edificio y muy buena atencion

  Si bien no deja de ser un hostel (con banos y salas comunes compartidas), esta casona le pone estilo y la verdad funciona! Si bien esta complicado de llegar si vas caminando y con valijas (por la subida empinada que te encontras apenas llegas) el efificio en si es precioso y vale la pena la caminata! Las habitaciones son muy lindas y comodas, limpias y bien ventiladas. La atencion del lugar es rara: llegar y que no haya recepcionista o alguien que te oriente es raro al principio pero finalmente funciona (esta todo bien detallado). La encargada es muy agradable y dipuesta a ayudar en todo! A mi parecer tal vez deberia haber otro bano con ducha, en la oportunidad que me aloje yo el lugar estaba full y tuve que esperar un buen tiempo para poder ducharme. Y la habitacion mas grande donde me aloje las primeras noches esta pegada al living/comedor asi que si tienen sueno liviano no se las recomiendo (especialmente los viernes o sabados por la noche) Por lo demas muy lindo lugar!!!

  Exceptional property

  I stayed in three of the rooms at Fellworth House and they were all palatial, beautifully appointed with antique furniture and chandeliers. There is even a chandelier in the bathroom! All rooms have soaring ceilings and original, finely crafted windows. Room 2 has excellent views over the city and harbour, best in winter as the sun shines in all day. Room 1 faces west, so it gets afternoon sun and sunset views, it also has a stunningly comfortable gold and pink armchair. Room 3 is the largest (they are all large!) and perfect for hot summer days with its cool southern outlook onto immense and ancient trees. As only single occupancy is permitted, there is a stillness and tranquillity here that is rare in other accommodation. Aleksandra is a gracious and unobtrusive host, the staff are helpful and friendly, and the owners of this property have been meticulous in their restoration, management and maintenance of this historic and lovely building. It was a great pleasure to stay here.

  Perfect solo upmarket backpacking

  Adore this place so much it's my home away from home when in Nelson. Get the deluxe super duper room for the mix of view and spacious luxury. All refurbished old world from velvet curtain totally 9ver the top wallpaper, 4 poster wooden bed posts to the chaise lounge chairs! Shared bathroom and kitchen but it's so select and quiet it's like up market flatting with that hippy flair. Bring bath bomb as it's a claw footed enameled cast iron old fashioned deep huge bath tub with chandelier! Just down the road is the Sprig and Fern pub, again atmosphere and old style. Limited menu but order the best fish and chips next door and they will deliver it to your table... perfect with a cold stout! Close to centre of NZ for an early morning walk, the gardens, art gallery or quant walk around to see the lovely villas and river. Perfect spot always amazing service when booking.

  Beautiful place, highly recommended!

  Amazing place, thoroughly enjoyed my stay in this beautiful, stately home. Great email communication with the very friendly owner and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. Especially loved my breakfast on the veranda overlooking Nelson. Highly recommend and will be back as soon as I can :)

  Lovely hostel

  I have stayed at Fellworth House twice now. The beds are comfortable & the facilities are excellent. A room in a beautiful heritage house for less than a single room in a hostel or motel. I will be back! Would love fibre internet next time though!
