  Pleasant stay in Feel Porto Codecal Apartments

  Wonderful view from the window of these apartments of the river with the boats and the lights at night of the restaurants and Port cellars. Modern apartment inside with a gorgeous breakfast delivered every morning. 100 steps which was not included in the photo of the outside of the apartment. Smell in the bathroom which was seen to and the landing. Staff helpful and showed us how to work the coffee machine if needed. Clean inside with mod cons.

  Lovely location.....some improvement needed

  Location is in perfect spot - but be aware of steps to get there. No good if accessibility difficulties. Check in was annoying as the person showed up late and then had to check others in first, so was all a rush and felt like we wasted first hour of holiday. Smell from bathroom is bad as others have said. Not their fault but they have old scented reeds covered in dust and without any oil left in living room. Replacing these would make a difference. Mainly clean but some issues. Bed not comfy. Two small singles brought together into a double so lump in the middle. Towels really poor quality and only two given. No bedding for sofa bed given either. And only one tea towel. Not great for several nights stay. Only one key given and wouldnt give any more when asked. Annoyed I didnt have cash for tax although I was told I could pay by card - said they would be in touch to come and collect cash. They never did and then they just charged card without asking. No iron in room as stated. Apparently it is in the hall way. But took them 24 hours to get back to me on that so too late by then. Breakfast was really lovely but its a set time each day and you cant change this - not clear on booking. Very noisy from people above walking around - not their fault but poor insulation sounds like there are elephants above and woke us each morning. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. We loved the balcony and made good use out of this. However we feel this apartment could be excellent with some nicer finishing touches.

  Quirky place in the heart of the Porto

  The location is excellent. You are just under the bridge on the Porto side right in the heart of Riberia. The room was small but highly functional and clean with a hot shower. Breakfast arrived in a basket each morning and was lovely. The team at Feel Porto were excellent. Got us on to a tour of the Douro at short notice and answered all and any questions we had. Was waiting for us when we arrived. Let us leave our bags in the room after check out. Very helpful indeed. Only observation is that the apartments our in the middle steep hill with lots of stairs up and down so if you are very unfit or have breathing difficulties then probably not for you. To be honest, for us (we are not fit) it was fine and just added to the great quirky feel of the place. Well done Feel Porto; definitely recommend you. kev
