  Dangerous and outrageous negligence

  This is my 44th review on trip advisor, but this is the worst experience that I have to share here. We planned to spend a week with our family, our 3,5-year daughter, my wife who is expecting our second one. After the first night, we decided to move out mainly because of the outrageous behaviour of the owner who was acting as manager on duty. I am gluten-intolerant what I indicated when I booked the hotel two months earlier. I also told it to the waiter at the first dinner after the check-in.Right after that, I was served pasta despite telling 4 times at the dinner table that I cant eat gluten so nothing made out of flour for me. Even after I directly asked, the chef confirmed twice to the waiters that my food is gluten-free. Of course, it turned out it was just regular pasta, what is dangerous for people with gluten intolerance. So my skiing almost started in a hospital thanks to the hospitality of Hotel Hinteregger. The owner was around and when I got upset and complained she turned her back on me. Her reaction was like, I can move out if I want to. She clearly did not understand the significance of such an issue. She was only concerned if the other guests learn about the case but not the health and wellbeing of her guest. In a hotel where we pay 550 Euro per night (not just here), it is an outrageous negligence. Anyway, the hotel was far from a luxury accommodation. We did not get the room we asked for and was promised. Our room also needed some extra cleaning by my wife when we moved in. The children area and the pool was OK but nothing great. This hotel is far overpriced and I would not recommend even for people without special dietary needs. For those who need extra attention, it is even dangerous. Next morning we got a note from the owner if we want to move out we can, she does not charge the night fee and she helps to look for accommodation if we need. By that time we already had a booking in Hotel Cristallo (4-star superior), just next door. Eventually, we got lucky and ended up in a much nicer room in a much nicer hotel for a bit cheaper price.

  Prefect weekend choice

  Have been on Katschberg so many times but usually just for a day which is possible with only 1 and a half hour drive from home. But it is definitely bonus if you stay overnight. This hotel is placed next to the main road and literarly 2 minutes walk to ski lifts on both side of the ski resort. The hotel is very well maintained. Despite it is not the newest, it resembles the quality. Rooms are big and clean, dinning room with a home touch and spacious. Food is excellent. Breakfast with great self-service offering variety of food for everyone. Dinner is served, with few menus to choose. Lunch is also offered but we did not have it as we rather take it on the slopes. Spa area seems new. Great choice of saunas and spacious relaxation room. In addition in- and outdoor pools. All in all - great hotel for variety of guests (young or senior couples ; families...).

  Good located, few steps from piste, skipass on the reception possible clean room, big enough big swimmingpool, kids pool, extra area for adults only glutenfree products in restaurants great value for money

  Excellent kids club but a mixed bag of a hotel

  We stayed here for a week in september with an awesome deal from Neckermann (turns out we paid only a third of our neighbours). The hotel amenities are great and the location especially is fantastic with direct access to slopes lifts etc. The childrens club was the reason we chose this hotel and we were not disappointed; the ladies taking care of the kids are great, take initiative and are throughout extremely professional. This however we cannot say of the bar man who kicked us out of the bar and closed at 21:30 on a Friday night - and wasnt overly polite about it either. Surely the parents are allowed a bit of downtime on a children holiday! Food wise, we took the all inclusive package (but still paid for beer and wine). The choice was fine, but we felt that the evening buffet (starters and soup are on buffet whilst main course is served at the table) was a letdown given that also breakfast and lunch are buffets. We would have appreciated a full sit down dinner every day. The main course however was fantastic most nights and somehow over the general level of the hotel. For us with the kids this was a great stay, but we shant return with our group of friends and kids, as we want to be able stay in the restaurant or bar as long as we want in the evening; and the being asked to leave the bar episode was not nice and definitely not hospitable.

  Great hotel

  As a family with 2 children we had a wonderful experience. The facilities for children are amazing. They had 4 childrens playrooms next to the restaurant so you could eat your diner peacefully while your impatient ones were playing untill they dropped. Almost every day there was something special for them. The wellness facilities are also wonderful. From the indoor swimming pool, the bubble bath, the salt pool to the saunas: everythings well organised. All wellness arrangements (including massages) were also available for children. This family hotel brings you straight to the Christmas living room you saw on tv in the 80s. The place is packed with hundreds of Teddy bears, family pictures and kitsch figurines. The lobby and the rooms make you become a part of the charming, quaint Traditional family. I would t let them decorate my house though. :) Food was decent. I had no complaints. My children (who are horrible eaters) got to eat every day. Menus are also pretty oldschool... but that made it nostalgic I guess. If they would read this: I would recommend to add the evening salad bar to the lunch buffet too. 2 hot meals in one day can get a bit too much. :) But if theres anything I would recommend this hotel for its the wonderful staff. The people at Hinteregger do make you feel welcome. From the receptionists to the ever helpful bar guy and the wonderful people in the restaurant: they were wonderful!!
