  No style, no charm

  The hotel is in Falun, which in itself it not a very charming town. Parking in front of the hotel has to be paid for since it is not private. Rooms are ok but simple and lacking some equipments. Service is friendly but leaves at 21:00, there is a side entry. Breakfast is in buffet style and of good quality bu a limited choice. The hotel is nicely situated for visiting in the area but still about 30 minutes minimum to reach the first view of lake Siljan

  Nice Stay

  We stayed here in August 2018 for a local music festival. The room we had was a good size for the two of us, with everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast had a good selection of food, both hot and cold as you would expect from a hotel buffet. The staff were very friendly. We would have liked to book this hotel again but unfortunately they already booked up on the dates we were looking to travel there again.

  we loved this hoyel

  We recently stayed for one night. two couples staying here overnight while traveling to another destination. Our first impression was that of a plain office building. However, upon entering the hotel we found it to be unusual in it's design, very friendly and immaculately clean. The hotel is located 2 blocks from "everything". The room was spacious, the TV worked well and their were English speaking channels. The bathroom was small but adequate and the shower was a dream. Breakfast was buffet style and very good.The staff were helpful and friendly. free parking was limited. We would certainly stay here again if our travels brought us back to Falun.

  Best hotel stay of the year- so far

  First of all, you get what you pay for. If you just want a room to sleep in and if you can drag yourself to another location for a spa treatment or whatever, then Hotel Falun is the place for you. You have the city, the train station and the university within walking distance. The room was small but clean and very comfortable. However, the shower was a bit too small so you can forget any romantic moments there. The breakfast was the wonderful. Given that its an STF hotel, I got more than I expected. The only downside was the coffee machine. I prefer freshly made but thats just a bit of my Swedish complaining for the sake of it mentality, I suppose. As for the staff. Nothing at all to complain about. Extremely efficient and friendly even to the point of chasing me up the road to return my IPad which I had left on the table at breakfast,

  A cozy place to stay and a good breakfast

  We stayed three nights and had good service throughout our stay. They dont have any parking space, but you can buy a parking ticket from the lobby for small money. The breakfast was good and they help us with our special diet. Thanks a lot for the nice time with you.
