Nice rooms, excellent breakfast, attentive service -- the air conditioning remote control is the only downsideOur family very much enjoyed our two-night stay at Hotel Falko. We booked two rooms for the four of us and found the rooms to be clean and very well appointed. The service was warm and hospitable and the breakfasts were outstanding, with made-to-order scrambled eggs and omlets in addition to a very nice buffet selection. (It was probably the best hotel breakfast we had during our stay in Poland.) One of our rooms was very spacious and the other was smaller, albeit adequate in size. The smaller room had a large and luxurious walk-in shower whereas the larger room had a combination bath tub / shower. (I really enjoyed the walk-in shower of the smaller room.) The only drawback to the hotel was the air conditioning system in our rooms. It is operated by a remote control which none of us were able to figure out. I called the hotel staff and they quickly sent someone to get the air conditioning going for us. After seeing how they got the air conditioning working I'm not sure if I'd be able to do it on my own -- the remote control is much too complicated for a simple task like turning on the air conditioning. Eventually the air conditioning in my room stopped working and when another staff member came to have a look she couldn't get it going (the unit was probably malfunctioning) so she immediately relocated us to a nearby room that had a working air conditioner. We couldn't ask for better, more attentive service from the staff. However, the air conditioning remote control is the one thing standing in the way of me giving a full five star rating. (I'd give it four and a half.)
