Super standard, great place. We were there with our children in August. A very nice apartment with plenty of space and a corridor to nearby Cristallo hotel. You can easily go there to swim in the pool. The view from the balcony is incredible. Equipment of the apartment - excellent. Everything clean, new and nicely maintained. The only weird thing was that showers and baths have no curtains and are located in bedrooms. At least toilets were isolated :-). Forget WIFi - It was there but the speed was around zero. You can buy meals in the hotel, but there is a fully equipped kitchen so it's a worth option to cook in the apartment, which is what we did. It's 12 mins by car to the town with good shops.

Family with childrenWe've stayed in apartment in the towers. The appartement was new and very nice. The only problem was not enough wardrobes. Of course WiFi worked only occasionally (common hotels in Austria). The corridor to the hotel is long. Most of doors aren't labeled- so find anything was quite tricky. They've told us that we can go to dinner after 20:30 a to breakfast after 9:00 because the hotel guests go there first (we were very angry about that- so we canceled the full board). Bar and pools were also overcrowded. The ski room was about 100m to piste. They said skipas is more expensive to buy at hotel reception (if you want to buy out off hotel you have to go up the hill 100m a then ski down).

strange experienceWe picked the apartment for 8 people, although we were only 5. But we wanted to have comfort. The location is perfect for downhill skiing right next to the slopes. If you are not skiing there is nothing much to do. The apartments are connected to the hotel by heated tunnel. All hotel facilities are at your disposal. This true family hotel with a lot of activities and players for the kids. The staff is wonderful. We prebooked full board. To be honest we were disappointed with the lunch. The choise was very limited and not tasty. The apartment we stayed was nice but very strange. There were two bedrooms that had the bathroom (shower/tub) in the same space with no privacy. A really strange layout. If you want privacy bathing you have to send your partner away. The third bedroom has bunk beds which we used for one child. This room has no ventilation or windows and it is separated by a sliding door. Uf you close it the child can`t breath. It was more like a closet with the bed in it. You should be aware of this layout before booking. In hindsight we should have booked the hotel instead of apartment.

Family Skiing HolidayWe stayed here with our two children for a week's skiing. Great apartment - clean, well-equipped. One bedroom, children (9 and 6) slept on sofa bed in lounge which was no problem. Great views, right next to the slopes. Interconnecting tunnel for access to hotel pools and other facilities. Booked ad hoc meals in hotel restaurant, otherwise self-catering. We've stayed here in the hotel before. Staff friendly and helpful. Organised ski hire and lessons through the hotel, all good. Some really lovely teachers for the children. Highly recommended.

Beautiful apartment with amazing viewWe had a fantastic week staying in the beautifully designed Falkensteiner Premium Apartments edel:Weiss. We stayed in the hotel in February 2017 (please see my detailed review on the hotel TripAdvisor page!) and we chose to return to Katschberg but self-cater this year so that we could have more choice over our food, and a more relaxed schedule. We definitely preferred self-catering, and the extra living space and freedom that came with apartment living, yet we were able to use the hotel facilities including the pools, spa, kids club, ski lessons and equipment rental. We will be returning next year! The apartments vary in size and so this review wont apply to all apartments. We are a family of four. My husband and I shared a bedroom, and our daughters (ages 8 and 10) shared a large, comfortable sofa bed in the main living area of the apartment. There was one toilet, and an en suite bathroom which comprised of a fabulous powerful, hot shower with a large overhead shower and a handheld shower (I appreciate having both!) and a sink (but no toilet in this bathroom). The en suite had a transparent glass door. I would have loved a bath, and I wasnt prepared to use the spa in the hotel either as you have to be naked which I dont find very relaxing at all! There was lots of storage shelves and wardrobes in the bedroom and also the main apartment area. Kitchen was a decent size and included an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, large fridge, small freezer (not tiny), kettle and Dolce Gusto coffee machine. No microwave or toaster, both of which we would have found useful; no washing machine. I kept burning toast in the grill, and was terrified of setting the smoke alarm off I think the firefighters are called automatically and you have to pay them for false alarms! On that note, there is a large balcony and the fire escape is from there. There was a very nice selection of glassware, crockery and cutlery - beautiful wine and champagne glasses. Mugs would have been a nice addition I drank my tea from a bowl, European style! A few dishwasher tablets were provided (it would be nice to provide one per day and maybe you can request more). Toilet paper can be restocked by calling Reception. Towels can be changed at a cost of 10 Euros pp (we didnt bother). There is nice handwash and shower gel/shampoo provided large bottles, more than enough for a family for a week. Our daughters were signed up for group lessons but did not enjoy their first half day lesson with a grumpy instructor. The hotel was very relaxed about us withdrawing from the lessons and booking a couple of 1h private lessons instead, with a fun instructor (Nico) who they much preferred. Other than that we skied as a family. We had amazing weather (again) bright sunshine and blue sky almost every day, and excellent snow coverage. The slopes never feel too busy, and its easy to find some really quiet slopes nothing like my memories of skiing in the popular regions of France during peak season. One day we will probably want to ski a larger area, or new pistes, but for now this region is perfect for us. Having read about the better location of the larger tower I asked if we could have an apartment in there, but we were limited to the smaller tower with our chosen apartment size. It would have been slightly closer to the hotel but immaterial really. Children needed to be accompanied as they would have got lost I expect. We stored our skis in our lockable parking cage which was easier than the boot room (which my husband checked out but I never saw!) Bar prices in hotel very reasonable. We ate at the Stamperl Brewery restaurant opposite the hotel on several occasions. Hofer supermarket (ALDI) is in the town below Katschberg (a quick drive) not as good as Aldi in UK though. A better supermarket is next door to it. Parking is underneath the apartments, easily accessible and each car is in an individual cage with garage door so you can store skis etc in there securely. High end furniture, fixtures and fittings and appliances (eg Miele). Amazing view. Warm and quiet except when windy. Good WiFi. Attended games night in the hotel bar. Disappointingly no bingo this year, but the kids club staff taught us to play Rummikub which was a bonus. We can't wait to return and have booked our flights already! Please give me a helpful vote for this review!
