  second chance - didnt work

  Im sharing some facts about this resort. Not involving my senses, only facts: 1. First morning after arrival. ~ 09:30 we come to have breakfast. The closing hour for breakfast is 10:30. Half of the plates to take from are empty. We ask to refill the plates but no response. Eaten what is left and decided not to have breakfast the upcoming days. 2. First 2 days of our stay. No WiFi. We use our phones as hotspots to have access the net. On a 3rd day the WiFi have returned to operate. No explanations from hotel representative. 3. Day #4. The safe electronic system is dead. Cant lock my personal belongings. 4. All days of our vacation - the electric stove doesnt work. Cant even boil water to make pasta for my child. 5. No iron in the room, special payed service. 6. Day 6. The heatwave is hitting Europe. 42 degrees Celsius. Children playroom is open but no air conditioning. Im trying to talk to reception guys. Their answer is that the manager does not allow to increase air conditioning since only 1 (my) child is inside. The solution offered - go to the pool. To conclude: For a hotel that claims to be family friendly all above is not fit. Next time in Italy vacation we will be somewhere else

  Unfortunately not a nice experience!

  We stayed @ the Falkensteiner the first time. We were shocked the first day, because if you want to walk to the little village Moniga you have to walk on the street, there is no pedestrian way! Nobody told us that or warned us at check-in. Thats really dangerous! We are active - and we like walking, and thats the active family vacation @ Lake Garda for us, but here you need your car for everything and the lake is far away! The stuff was very friendly and very helpful - no complaints about that. The room itself was old and has to be refurnished. Everything is not maintained well. For the prize you have to pay here - we expected way more! Falkyland is also a joke! A dark room with no AC - not nice! When you want to have water at breakfast, they charge you for that. Overall not a nice experience and no recommendation for the Falkensteiner. Way too expensive for a 2 star hotel - where is the 3rd and the 4th star coming from?? The only positive thing is the people working here - they deserve 4 points. The hotel gets 0 points. So the overall average is 2 points.

  Two stars

  Much way too expensive, very old furniture, the pool is nice, but to much chlor in it. Its a family resort, but the way to the surrounding restaurants is very dangerous ( a lot of cars, no way for pedestrians )

  Excellent service & friendly staff

  Very friendly place and personnel, close to the Garda Lake. Nice clean rooms, great food and very professional hotel management, I was very surprised. Without doubt one of my favorite hotels I stayed during my time in Italy! Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff and general manager. The staff was extremely friendly, the restaurant very good we had great evenings here, which obviously also added up to the experience in such a quiet and peaceful environment. A true sample of excellent hospitality! We'll come back for next Easter holidays :) Very recommended

  Not to recommend..

  Rooms in general were big, but the crib could not fit in the sleeping room.. Stuff was very friendly. Not clean, all old and broken. Restaurant/bar was closed. Too many people at the pool. Internet (Wlan) never working..
